Hotel du Vin & Bistro in Cambridge

Very decent hotel, and we benefitted from an upgrade. Nice largish room, but far too hot and required maximum aircon.Location great for central Cambridge, but no dedicated car parking - there is a rather grotty multi - storey car park about 10 minutes walk away.Irritatingly, the hotel restaurant doesn't start serving dinner until 6 pm and doesn't serve lunch at all. Also, the bar doesn't open until 5 pm.Expensive for what you get.

Lovely character building with friendly efficient staff great restaurant. Rooms well appointed, spacious bathroom. Warm and comfortable. Seemed a little way out of centre but only a few minutes from the backs, Fitzwilliam museum and Kings College.

We stayed one night for my wifes birthday and the stay was phenomenal. The hotel upgraded us to the cinema suite which took us by surprise and there was a lovely birthday treat waiting for my wife in the room. The room decor was amazing and the cinema room definitely a great bonus. The beds were extremely spacious and comfortable and the free standing bath tub definitely a game changer. Can't praise it enough. Only drawback I can mention is that we can hear people walking upstairs and its quite loud at times but we stayed only 1 night so wasn't too much of an issue for us. We were even given complementary virgin mojitos!

Hotel Du Vin in Cambridge is one of our favourite places in Cambridge. The staff is friendly, always extremely welcoming and willing to help. The place is stunning and it carries a homely feel that makes staying here always special.

The service in all areas of the hotel was excellent. From a personable, slick dinner service, to relaxed breakfast and knowledgeable bar staff, nothing is too much.We stayed in the signature suite which is a beautiful slice a luxury. The bed was humongous and the train copper baths were fabulous to sink into after a long day of sightseeing. We can't wait for our next stay at a Hotel du Vin.

Really perfect stay! Alice on reception was really amazing and looked after us during our visit. The staff in the Bistro in particular were friendly and could not do enough got us.

Fantastic stay! Booked for a one night getaway and we parked about 5 minutes stroll from the hotel as there is no parking on site. We were given an upgrade on arrival from a junior suite to a larger suite which had it's own cinema room which was amazing. Fabulous room, very comfy bed, free standing bath big enough for two and wonderful shower. We didn't eat in the restaurant but had a fabulous breakfast the following morning. Staff were friendly and very helpful throughout. All in all a very good place to stay and well worth the money.

From the moment we checked in to leaving everything about our stay was wonderful. Staff on reception were very efficient and check in swift.Breakfast very good with something for everyone. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Cambridge and surrounding areas. The toiletries in the rooms were really nice. Our stay was not cheap but worth the price tag in my opinion

I stayed here at the beginning of the month after getting married in the city the same day. The staff were able to help my surprise my wife and also left a bottle of champagne in me room which was a lovely touch and unexpected. Breakfast was amazing where you ordered from the menu which was so much better than the standard buffet.

We have just returned from staying here this past Friday as part of a work Christmas celebration and took the opportunity to stay over. We were upgraded into a room with a wonderful open-plan bathroom which was fantastic. The mean and the staff really were outstanding and our only regret was that we did not stay for two nights!
