Japas is so underrated - the food is excellent and the staff are amazing at saying what can be veganised, spoiler alert that most of the veggie stuff is vegan. Plus the service is incredibly fast and the team are really welcoming. I love it here! No bad words to say about it

Absolutely top quality traditional Japanese food. Standout was the Suzuki sashimi. We mourn the loss of Teri-aki no more.

The food is good, but the resto is in need of a refurb - also the toilets are horrible, the door doesn't shut on the gents and it's very dirty and smelly. I'll be back once this place cleans itself out.

Really enjoyed our meal here, good sushi, sashimi and assorted Japanese food. Will definitely go back.

A hidden gem of sushi! The rolls were fresh & good quality. Clearly prepared with expertise & care. Good quality, fresh fish.My husband had the chicken udon noodles which were also tasty and a generous portion.Excellent quality, very reasonable price.

Takiyaki was great, if crazy expensive. Sushi was fine. Nothing amazing, but about average for Cambridge I think... Spicy tuna is just a normal tuna roll with some spicy sauce squirted on top (no mayo), which was especially underwhelming.

We have tried few sushi places in Cambridge and Japas Sushi is so far the best. Their sushi are very tasty, generous portion and good price too. The man in the counter is so kind, he knows that we are muslim and told us which sushi are not suitable for us. Other stuffs are friendly too! We gonna come again and again..

Loved the ramen. It was one of the authentic ramen places. Broth was amazing! The staff were really friendly. Highly recommended to visit the restaurant for the best Ramen in Cambridge!

✓ Vegan and Vegetarian OptionsWHAT I HAD: Tofu Steak Donburi [£8.50], 5 pieces Vegetable Gyoza [£4.70], Nasu Dengkaku [£5.70] – Grilled aubergine in sweetened miso sauce, Vegetable Yaki Soba Stir Fry [£7.60]I’ve never dined in Japas Sushi, but have gotten takeaway several times. The food isn’t something to shout about, but it is decent and probably an slightly better than the usual Asian (Chinese/Japanese) takeaway fare. As I live nearby, I do get takeaway occasionally when I’m not cooking and in the mood for some Japanese food. I like the variety they offer – aside from the many types of sushi, they have a lot of hot food options! From hot appetisers to noodles and rice. Bonus points for offering several dessert options (that is not just ice cream) as well! The quality isn’t the most consistent (a bit salty at times) but it has never massively disappointed me. Could be more generous with the toppings for certain meals (i.e. Tofu Steak Donburi). Still, price point is overall acceptable. The staff has always been detailed and never gotten my orders (especially with my special requests) wrong. Service is fast as well. Overall, it might not serve authentic Japanese food, but it still a good place to get a quick bite or takeaway to satisfy some Asian/Japanese food cravings and satisfying hot meal.

Friendly staff. Service was excellent. Japanese beer selection and big sake selection. Lots of items on the menu, and cozy environment. Food was decent. I didn't try everything on the menu but I've had better.
