Maypole Public House in Cambridge

A superb pub with a friendly welcome, excellent beer and authentic Italian food. Highly recommended.

Had a very delicious pizza and ragú with two pints. The staff were very pleasant and the pub had a village feel. Would go again.

Returned to the Maypole in early January 2022, and wished I'd returned earlier. Not just a great selection of cask beers, but also interesting keg beers. If you're interested in either of these, and good food, and a great atmosphere and bar staff then go to The Maypole, simple.

Very nice local pub with different & interesting brews on tap. Had a apricot sour recently that was amazing! Typical Cambridge prices for a pint, but the selection & the friendly, helpful staff make it worthwhile.Also had a very good calzone-like lunch. Filed with veggies, hummus, and cheese.

This is a pub run by lovely people who obviously care about their customers. The food is amazing (best risotto ever!) and deserts yummy, well above other pub food standards. The drink selection is also awesome. Heated seating outside too! Great place...

The staff here are exceptional. It's a great pub and beer selections, but the service is what makes this place great. One of the bartenders was super proactive at creating a table for us, unasked to sit at. Was really impressed by his attentiveness.

Solid spot for a beer and some food. Great service and an interesting new Italian street food menu to add to the already-iconic pizza. Best selection of craft beers around, and outside seating for a solid al fresco dining experience. A true Cambridge institution, for students and locals alike.

Warm welcome, really well kept selection of ale and beer. Went to find a pub to escape the football and were not disappointed. Sad we had already booked dinner somewhere else otherwise we would have stayed for dinner, the food looked great too. Did share some chips which were really good.

They have a diverse collection of beers - loads of options to choose from, including: craft beers, pilsners, ales, lagers, and ciders. They feature a vivid collection of Belgian bottles too. Surely worth a visit!
