Savino's in Cambridge

Friendly welcome, genuinely Italian. Above all, outstanding coffee. The carrot cake is to die for, too. Highly recommended

My name is SHU from Japan. Since 1998 to 2005, I was living in Cambridge and I've been Savino's almost everyday.The shop owner Peter and the other staff were always best, warm and kind to me. Grazie for the best coffee and panini at any time during my stay in Cambridge for seven and a half years.In addition, I am so happy to know via inside photo-view of Google Map that everything has been keeping same for over 15years, not only layouts but every chairs, tables, posters, and even the collection of regular customer's photos on the wall, include the photo of me and my dearest girlfriend at that time!I'd like to say thank you very much to Peter and all the dearest staff! I hope I could visit Savino's again at some point!SHUxxx

Amazing pastry! crispy shell with a warm chocolate filling. Also love the smell of baked goods that wafts in the space.

I called in for an early coffee this morning and received the most delicious cup of coffee that I’ve had in Cambridge for a long time. The service was friendly and efficient; the tables were clean; the atmosphere was just great - I’ll definitely be back!

Having walked the streets of Cambridge for nearly 10 years, I can’t believe I’ve been missing this absolute gem ✨Forget your Costa and Starbucks, Savino‘s is your new Fix !Forget Subway altogether really do ! I’m on a 4 day streak of having Sandwiches from Savino’s and my god , you’ve got high quality ingredients, well thought combinations of bread , meat and veg !If you’ve never been to Savino’s seriously you’re missing out ! I am lost for words how to describe Savino’s you really have to get in there and take on the experience 🙌

Finest coffee in all of Cambridge. The thick Italian hot chocolate sends me back to my year abroad in Italy. The food is amazing too, particularly the homemade ameretti! Could not recommend more

Nice staff, nice little independent cafe. Coffee was mediocre, though I don't know if they change the coffee beans they use on a regular basis. Also, something near our table smelled of wet dog and I don't know what it was - I was worried it was me but I don't believe it was. Vegan food options were poor - they have a good selection of cakes, however the staff member stated that whilst they sometimes have a vegan cake, they didn't on the day we visited. My partner had the "thick hot chocolate", which looked like the most delicious, enticing thing I'd ever seen, but she informed me it was too rich to enjoy and she only had a couple of teaspoons of it. Other tastes may vary, of course.

Favourite place to have lunch at. Their panini are the BEST! Plus they always have a the biggest smile to offer.

Italian coffee shop with savoury options and some pastries.Locating near the city centre, it is a great for a quick stop. It was bustling with customer even during October 2020, the Coronavirus time, making it not suitable for mobile workers. The shop gave a warm feeling with friendly staffs who went around and asked customers for feedbacks.The shop uses Illy coffee beans and coffee was dark but not burnt -- a good sign. I would love to try their espresso next time.The soup I had came with a slice of bread. The soup itself was nice and filling.

Amazing food! Priced highly but worth it. Everything is served piping hot and seems very authentic; the staff are all Italian. Coffee tastes really good and the food (paninis and salads) is delicious. There are both vegetarian and meat options. Presented beautifully. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
