Hadn't been there since before lockdown as I no longer live in Cambridge, this has always been one my favourite pubs in Cambridge for over 20 year's. I wasn't disappointed when I went on Saturday, the food was good having been recommended to have the "whale" and chips as described by the older barman who served it, as well as the Mac and cheese crockets on the side. Still a good place and excellent service.

Good view with a pleasant staff... We had a few drinks and some chicken wings.. All good the red wine had been opened a while (my personal opinion) as was not the best but apart from that a nice time was had.. Thanks Richard & Linda

Drinks order - all came bar mine.Mains order - all came bar 1 which turned up after having to speak to staff multiple times.Food was really good which got the stars. Then 2 of us seemed to be over charged.May I add we were prebooked and first seated so it's not as though they'd been booked out and rushed off feet.Just double check everything.

Lovely little pub, good food, nice beer, right on the river next to punting boats

Wonderful pub. Right on the river, great for people watching in punts! We had a delicious lunch. Really lovely and friendly hardworking staff. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful food and view on a sunny January day. Definitely recommend for a family lunch.

Stopped in here for some lunch today whilst out and about in Cambridge. Food was lovely and very tasty - had the fish & chips and then sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Only real downside was that the waiter point-blank refused to accept cash as payment (which transpires to be completely illegal), and as such this caused a lot of frustration and issues when paying the bill, as one half of the party wished to use cash as their contribution.Otherwise a lovely lunch with a great view!

Food was great but had to wait 25 minutes for our light lunch! Service was good too.

Large multi-level waterside pub. The upper floor is principally a dining room, the street-level room does not contain a bar servery but is comfortable and often a lot quieter and the lower level contains the main bar servery off which is a light and airy sort of cellar bar which leads out onto the sunny riverside terrace. The views over the Mill Pond, lively with punts in summertime, are some of the best in Cambridge. Those, coupled with a decent menu and friendly service, make this a pleasant spot to while away an hour or so.
