The Codfather in Cambridge

Peculiar service by some hard working rough diamonds! The fish is the best in town without a shadow of doubt. The chips are delicious and generous. My wife is very particular what she likes, but she is always happy with the food I bring home from there. You know what they say, a happy wife means a happy life!

If you'd like to gorge on chips this is the place. The large chips are about a kilo, no joke.

Takes 20 mins to cook a battered sausage then doesn't put in the bag. Would not recommend this place when there is a football game on as that's all they seemed interested in.

Huge fish and chips. Cod was great no bones at medium chips only just finished them.will definitely go again

If ur not in a hurry go here.so slow.the food is disgusting ,rubber sausages ,soggy fish and over cooked chicken. The guy who owns it is the fool behind the counter hasn't a clue what he is doingHe needs a different job. AVOID

Paid for two portions scampi on deliveroo at £9.50 each. 24 pieces scampi delivered!No chips!If I had gone to shop would have got the same for £5.50 each.So disappointed was supposed to have been a birthday treat for me. !!

Had no mushy peas but decided to still order, then to add insult to injury they had no gravy or curry sauce. As a saucy person this experience was deeply disappointing. V crispy freshly cooked chips and fish though. Portion size was ridiculously large.

This picture says it all. This is an undercooked chicken and my broom pie I was charged £3.99 on Uber for. The driver was sat at the restaurant for a while. Then done another delivery on the way to me and arrived at the latest arrival time. Won’t be ordering again. !!!

Cooked fresh to order ...gorgeous large cod (massive too ...taken home to add my own sides ..etc..)All whilst having a real giggle with the two brothers ...especially if you ask him to show you his famous potato peeling 🤣🤣🤣Definitely worth every penny ..thankyou guys

This place is a right treat and the best fish and chips shop I've tried in Cambridge.It is cash only, so immediately loses one star!The battered fish and sausages are crispy, the batter is delicious and not damp or soggy at all. The chips are just what you want, perfect. The mushy peas and gravy also very good. The staff are also very friendly.I very highly recommend the Godfather; they'll make you a fish supper you can't refuse 😉
