Lovely little pub with great service! The fish and chips are so so good! Food is so fresh and everything tasted amazing! The fish wasn’t oily but light and crispy and the chips are crispy and fluffy!Probably the best tartar sauce I’ve ever had. Love that the peas weren’t stodgy either!Couldn’t recommend their food more! We will be back!

Absolutely brilliant pub! Was our local for 3 and a half years whilst living in Cambridge. Some really great food and great atmosphere. Lovely staff and the hatch really got us through the first lockdown. Look forward to returning one day! All the best.

Had a supreme pan fried salmon. Simply delicious. No wonder this pub is full on a Thursday evening. Thankfully they have good outdoor seating as well.

Nice pub near Anglia Ruskin University. Friendly staff, and dog friendly for those with canine companions.

Lovely pub. Very friendly staff. Lots of board games to play. Two gardens to enjoy fresh air. Only had scotch eggs and halloumi chips, but both were delicious!

This pub is a hidden gem that you want to discover. We enjoyed having our dinner at The Free Press. Before checking out the menu, we expected standard pub food options. However, it was a mixed variety of appealing dishes.Overall, this place is incredible, the prices are adequate and the food is tasty.

Shhh🤫 Don't tell anyone but the Free Press is a real gem in the heart of Cambridge. Popped in after going to the cinema and spent a lovely couple of hours. Warm, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and super lunch. We had the sharing platter of breads, meats and cheeses...simply wonderful. Thank you and will see you again. Ps great whiskey selection . Recommend the Balvenie

Good atmosphere and service. The food was utterly amazing. Had the summer burger and the mushroom scotch egg. The former was delicious, as the combination of lamb, feta, cabbage and pomegranate was nothing short than genius. The egg was also very good, probably the best veggie scotch egg I had so far.

Excellent traditional style pub. The food is really lovely. Traditional pub classics with Mediterranean twist served with tasty and colourful ingredients. Staff super friendly and happy for me to share my birthday cake on plates they provided. Recommend the steak bavette in picture and the padron peppers. The cake was made by my wife!
