The Gardenia in Cambridge

Just had a takeaway from here this evening. Having ordered two of the more expensive mixed souvlaki's, both were absolutely pathetic portion sizes, given with a tiny salad and two confusingly large portions of sauce.It is hard to put into words my disbelief at just how small and sad looking this meal was.The meat itself was decent, but there just was not enough. When I've ordered the same from The Olive Grove or Tzatziki they are significantly better in size and quality.Very disappointing overall, though in general the meat was decent and the prizes not unreasonable. But there are better options out there.

I had short to time so make it takeaway. On my way I was missing a lot of things as well as taste. I don’t think it’s my kinda stuff 😝

Lovely little place with really good food in decent sized portions. Service is really good and staff is friendly. Good for a quick bite. Has an upstairs seating area as well if you don't want to sit outside.

Welcome back to R&H's crazy food reviewsThis time we are trying out Gardenia.Ordered the special burger and the BBQ burger, which were alright but really nothing 'special'. Unfortunately I ended up binning the special burger. The prices were quite affordable but the service left us a little cold, figurative and literally. Also the packaging wasn't recyclable. Overall, not our favourite Cambridge kebab shop.Until next time,Pasta la Vista.

Good food but not a great service. At least not in my experience.

Good food with decent cost. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options are also good. One star less only for not using recyclable or bio degradable plates or take away boxes.

Love this place, have used it many times for more than a decade. Chips are vegan, vegan and vegetarian options with the kebabs. Which are very tasty. Good atmosphere, with friendly staff. Take away or eat in choice. A very good chip shop for both meat eaters and non meat eaters. Good drink selection.

The mixed kebab plater is a true delight. Lots of different meat and comes with salad and chips. Good price for quantity. The balkava is not always fresh.

My boyfriend and I came in this evening and spent 12 quid on two pizzas which, in all honesty, were barely edible. You're much better off throwing some frozen pizzas from Sainsbury's in your oven. However, the guys working there were super nice and accommodating, and we did not try the other food (aside from some chips, were were decent but also not very fresh) so we would just recommend not bothering with the pizzas. As students with little money looking forward to a little dinner treat and wanting to support a local eatery, this was really, really dissappointing. Five stars for customer service though.

Gardenia provides tasty delicious food with generous portions; also the chips are amazing!! We love the food from here and the staff are very friendly. Cannot wait to be able to sit in again and have a plate of wonderful meze or one of the other vegetarian or vegan dishes.
