Great selection of real ales in a cosy and characterful pub with relaxing atmosphere. The beers, including a changing selection of guest ales are well kept and staff knowledgeable about them. We have now visited a few times and can't wait to return. Will try the food on a future visit as it looks pretty good.

Booked a table for 5pm, turned up at 5 was not acknowledged by anyone and upon asking at bar was informed table had not been made for us (party of 7). After being given a single menu and sat in the smoking area we went to order and where informed that the chef had just walked out and so would no longer be able to serve food, despite have explicitly confirmed the upon booking that food would be available.

Sat outside for a drink so can't comment about the inside, decent toilets and staff friendly and wore masks so considering the covid guidelines, nice atmosphere and decorated quite quirky which we liked. Both had a cider which went down well. A bit pricy compared to the price of drinks we are used to in our local pubs so only had the one each.

Nice outdoor eating area, especially on a sunny day. Service not so great. You have to install their own app to be able to order anything, and only some of the items were available on Sunday afternoon. The food wasn't great either; had Fish&chips with mashed peas. The peas came whole, like someone just threw some boiled peas on the plate, the fish was probably a decade old as you couldn't eat the middle. The chips were the only thing you could eat from that plate. I wouldn't recommend this place for eat out.

Cosy pub in the centre of Cambridge. Nice atmosphere, staff is very friendly and prices are OK. The pub has a terrace, which is convenient now with the pandemic.

Nice place, good service and food. I take away one star cause they didn't have gluten free food for one of us, but they were kind enough to offer to order food from anywhere else. Anyway, the pie was good.

This is an fantastic pub! The folks working there are friendly and nice and in general. We had a large portion of fish and chips and a local beer. The pub has a great college vibe and it is an absolute classic for the Magdalene alumni. Must go if you’re in the area!

Great pub. One of the oldest pubs in Cambridge. Good food and good ale. Has live music as well
