Been meaning to visit for a long time. We both had haddock and chips and the chips were possibly the best chunk chips I've ever had! However, the batter was very salty. It wasn't that noticeable when we started but by the end it wasn't very pleasant anymore. Such a shame as the fish inside was delicious.I'd still like to come back but would probably have one of the batter-less options

Amazing fish and chips in a up market fish and chip shop. The fish and chips are amazing here. Fish is perfectly cooked with crispy batter, well seasoned and flaky fish. Chips are equally as good. Curry sauce is amazing too.If planning to eat in, it’s quite small, would recommend reserving a table.Highly recommend.

Best restaurant inside a chip shop I’ve ever eaten in. Fresh seafood cooked to order and lovely staff. Wrap up warm in the winter though.

Hearty, if not particularly healthy. Chips are proper, not dries, cod is very meaty, with not so much batter you feel you are drowning in it.People running it are very pleasant, including the comical moment they basically smoked the place (plaice..?) out. Bit of a laugh.Though didn't have it, the beer on tap looks pretty tasty - great accompaniment if the weather was a little warmer.Definitely would go back. After a diet.

I decided to order some fish&chips via their website. Turnouts I needed to read the small print, as they sell fish separately to the chips. So why do you have a picture that clearly shows fish AND chips with a hefty price tag next to it?I ordered for 6 people and we all received the order without the chips. I called the store and I spoke to the “manger” and told him that usually if you see a picture of a meal with a price tag…usually that is what you get. He told me,“does that mean I should of send the plate too?”To which I replied,“If you buy shoes online, you get shoes with laces?”He also said the business has been running for 13 years and this is the first time they got a compliant about having a picture of fish and chips with a price tag but selling the fish only.Really disappointed, I spend over £80 and got the fish without the chips. Remove the picture so you don’t confuse people or make a small print no so small so people can notice what it says. Also invest in a courses for that manager, your customer service is worse then receiving fish and chips without the chips.

I was there for a beer and finally, I also ordered some calamari and cod. After living in Spain for more than 6 years and tested a lot of good calamari, I have to say that this one really good.I also appreciate that they have a lot of alternatives for people with allergies and intolerance.I recommend this place and I'm sure I will repeat.

Awful. Just ordered from wearefoodstuff; the fish was mushy, the portion sizes are tiny, the sweet chilli sauce is way too sweet, the calamari rings and halloumi fries were soggy AF. How TF can you charge £7.50 for that piece of salmon? Absolutely disgusting for £35 in total, it was meant to be a Saturday treat.

The best seafood in Cambridge! It's a small place, but the food is absolutely fantastic. From mussels with fries 🍟 to fresh fish 🐠, there's something for everyone. It's one of those places we're you'll want to keep coming back! 💕

Battered seafood is prepared brilliantly and well-seasoned. They retain some crispiness when eaten as take-out, but it'd be desirable if they resumed in-house dining to enjoy the dishes at their best.Chips on the other hand are a soggy, greasy mess when eaten as take-out, perhaps more time to cool before being placed in the box will help.Curry sauce is home-made, and though nothing spectacular, makes the chips actually edible, which is a feat in itself.Mushy peas are extremely mushy to the point of becoming a sauce but still well-seasoned.

This is not just a fish and chips shop. It’s a culinary experience straight from the Mediterranean with a North twist. The food is always fresh and tastes amazing! Try the mussels and the king prawns, and also the mackerel. The chips are to die for. The service is always good and it’s really good value for money. Clean toilets also a bonus! If you beleive this review has been helpful for you, please don’t forget to press the 👍 button. Thank you.
