Waitrose Cafe Cambridge England in Cambridge

I see that Waitrose is going economical bringing their signed products on the shelves. Please could you speak to the senior managers and tell them to stop the ‘Levantine’ snack products(cheap &awful unskilled prep). Also, tell your gurus to stop selling that ghastly & cheap soft nougat which does not taste like any Nougat in the world. Cheap, improvised & nasty, more coming soon. I wish we had Carrefour or Auchan.

An eco-friendly supermarket that shuns plastic packaging. Large selection of loose fruits & vegetables - you can either bring your own cloth bags, or use one of their composable bags. An impressive selection of vegan and vegetarian foods too. The ECO brand of detergents, shower gels and hand washes mean you can re-fill your container.The car park can be busy but Trumpington P&R is right next door.The only small niggle is that the Supermarket was opened around 25 years a go now, so the interior - especially the floor - looks a bit tired now. 25 years of footsteps and trolley wheels have taken their toll.Price wise some items are a bit more expensive than Aldi/Lidl - but nothing that will seriously hurt your weekly food budget - especially if you go for the multi-buy offers.

Very good supermarket in the area. The food disposition is sometimes a bit random in the different aisles, but people working there are really helpful. The parking is quite big as well and easy to find a spot.

I ordered a little something via Deliveroo for a friend stuck at home isolating. There was an issue with items being shown actually not being in stock so I called the store and Peter and his colleague (sorry I didn’t get her name!) were really helpful in sorting it out and sent my friend flowers on them. Thank you for being so kind and for your help!

Great range of food. i recently moved in the area and pleasantly surprised it’s not as expensive as I would have assumed. Still supplement with a bit to Tesco in fulbourn

I cannot believe that Waitrose Cambridge has a 2 hour parking limit. Absolutely disgusting that such a high class supermarket will impose this.If you have a disability and it takes you longer they don't care. You are warned.I will never shop here again!

Would love this to be bigger but the quality is perfect. Buy the ripe and ready fruit once from here and you won’t want to try the other supermarkets

Quite clean, but not as clean as M&S. An air of superiority and haughtiness pervades the atmosphere. Snobby clientele. Some staff are friendly but quite a lot look miserable or are engaged in noisy banter with each other, which seems at odds with its stuck up image. Some fantastic value and products, Waitrose own brand Belgian chocolate bar - on sale - much heavier bar (nearly double the weight) & more tasty than ASDA Extra Special chocolate :)

At 07:45 Mon 21 Dec, the store was packed out and the stationary queue of shoppers waiting to get inside stretched across the front of the store, along the length of the car park and round the back almost to the car park exit. It never moved in the 15 mins that I was there. It was raining and I couldn't be bothered to wait another hour or so getting wet, so I left.

Like to escape after the school run, and come to my previous place of work, for a root about to see new items, be it food or otherwise. Always nice to see familiar faces. Lovely store. Especially Shelly who works on the desk!
