Not great experience at yo sushi. Most of the food tasted nice but the experience was let down by the condition of the restaurant, wait times and temperature of some food items. The yo fries were stone cold when they arrived which really let them down. The restaurant was very dirty with half and tables full of dirty plates and half eaten food which didn’t make it a nice atmosphere. The actual conveyer belt and bar area was also dirty and there was boxes of containers and items all over the restaurant making it look messy. We waited 45 mins for our last sushi to come, which is really unacceptable for a cold sushi. Wouldn’t go again after an awful night there. Wish they could do better as the food is normally lovely.

Food is fine, but the new order on your phone and pre-pay then wait for it to be delivered on the belt system kills the concept. Because some of our dishes didn't arrive, we had to request them again. Twice. The staff had to stop serving and spend 10 mins resetting the belt.We would have left having taken a different dish under the old system, but we'd already paid for the food so had to sit and wait.Final dish arrived 15 minutes after we'd finished the others.Staff were trying to be helpful but the system doesn't work very well. Will avoid unless it's quiet or they change back to the old system.

Green tea was barely warm, soy sauce bottle was leaking making it impossible to use, also the sauce was bitter, which is not the usual case with soy sauce, so I believe it was spoiled. Potatoes from a set were hard and very spicy. I won't return there, very disappointed.

You have to order from your table by scanning a QR code, selecting from a menu and paying online. The staff then receive your order and place the specific dishes on the conveyor belt, which stops at your table. They only give you a few seconds to pick up your bowl. There is nothing on the conveyor belt other than pre-ordered food/drink.We went when it was quiet but it can get quite busy at lunch time and at the weekend.

I came to eat, I actually needed an IT lesson! They’ve obviously put a lot of work into changing their systems and delivery of the food. But don’t try and do this if you’re hungry or in a rush. Food was ok, not worth the wait or the hassle.

It’s been about ten years since I last visited a Yo Sushi and have to say that not much has changed. I’m worried that this chain will go under if it doesn’t reinvent itself quickly. With the emergence of several new Korean restaurants, lots choice for authentic Chinese food as well as sushi counters in large supermarkets in Cambridge alone, £23 for four small portions is not not going to cut the mustard in today’s market. To their credit, they’re doing their best to be Covid compliant, which means the sushi belt isn’t in full operation, but I think I wouldn’t come back in a hurry.

Went for an early lunch and got seated at the bar as we didn’t have a booking (yet most tables were empty) and had a couple sat right next to us who left after 5 minutes as they weren’t comfortable being sat inches from us. Cleanliness was pretty poor with food residue all over the conveyor belt. Food itself was pretty tasty but portions were tiny for the price and even after ordering £40 worth of food we ended up ordering more as we were still hungry. Worst thing we saw was a male chef opening a container of sauce with his teeth in full view of all the customers. Think he realised we spotted him as he proceeded to stare at my partner for a full 10 minutes , making it a very uncomfortable experience. My advice is avoid - there are so many better Japanese and Asian restaurants in Cambridge offering better value and better cleanliness.

Pro: the automation system to deliver the food is nice. The place is clean. Cons: Food wasn't really good. Prices high for quality offered.

Sushi was nice, but very small portions,Hot food wasn't very tasty, mushroom ramen was terrific, other hot dishes was just warm...Not very nice service, no glasses or cutlery, had to ask for everything.

Ordered the Christmas JFC for 2 from Deliveroo. It was OK. We couldn't tell the difference between the "Japanese" and "Korean" flavoured chicken -- it was all just the same generic tasting, overly brown, slightly spiced chicken. Chips and slaw were bland. Wouldn't get this again. Delivery took an hour
