Nice pub, decent atmosphere. Got to be lucky to get a parking space but other car parks are nearby. Would return and definitely would recommend.Would like to see another draught cider option though.

Nice hot food, good portions and all plates delivered together. Friendly, nice atmosphere and good service and a very reasonable price. What more you want? I'd definitely pop in again.

The Hoy and Helmet, lovely Green King pub. Great selection of guest ales! Had a wicked pint of T.T Landlord. Lovely atmosphere, low beamed ceiling, old stone floor. Then the football came on and ruined the atmosphere, blaring out too loud so I left after the first pint.

Pub really has improved since restrictions have ended. We love going at weekends, it’s always busy now and there’s always a Dj on. Love it when Debbie and Leah are on as they always makes us feel so welcome.

Service was excellent. Toilets are average and a bit small given the nature of the building. Food quality was good too

The food is much to be desired, it's tasty but the portions are exceptionally small, staff are friendly and professional but I don't think I'd go back as the prices don't reflect value for money you'd expect from a local pub

Perfect pub to warm up those winter time cockles! Pours the perfect pint of Guiness (you know who you are,) and it's just a friendly and comfortable, welcoming establishment. Highly recommend, lot's of Viking history to for you history buffs and long haired rebels!
