Lantern House in Castle Point

Ordered a duck fried rice which was bland, mixed meat and veg in hot chilli sauce which was absolutely awful with no hint of chilli at all and a portion of possibly the worst chips I've ever had. Never will I order from here again!

Wow! so many negative comments!? I’ve been ordering takeaways from lantern house on just eat for over 5 years and only twice they’ve been late but most of the time delivery within15mins which is pretty dam quick. I only order three items and they cook them really well and delicious in my opinion : beef curry, salt and chilli shredded chicken and satay chicken. I can’t comment on the rest of the menu but my top three never disappoints.

Just don't bother.We had a massive hair in our food and when we rung to notify them of this we was told that they do not need our custom.When I rang to speak with the manager I was passed to a delivery driver.There are better places to go please use them instead

Greasy food. I had half grease and half noodles in chicken chow mein. Gross. threw the lot away.

Slow service, high prices for the amount of food you get. Ordered the Hong Kong Style Sweet & Sour Chicken, menu said 5.90 then when I got there they wanted 6.10. The portion was very small and barely any chicken in it. The sauce was so sweet and only sweet. Would not recommend.

Missing sweet and sour sauce from order was told to come back and get it.no apology food was bland and had not alot of tasteSaid delivery was 2 hour wait at 6pm so went and collected and the delivery driver was there with nothing to do!!! And I am sure potion sizes were smaller than last time we ordered.

After waiting for nearly 2 hours, food arrives in soaking wet bags from the rain, chips had fallen into the carrier bag as the wet paper bags had fallen apart, the chips were therefore cold & were also under cooked. We had already called to ask where our order was to be told it was not their fault as the delivery driver was out delivering. Such a shame as always praised their food but for what we had to pay, disgusted with the service.

Oh dear! Been ordering from here for years (mostly on Just Eat). Now ordered on their own website. Over two hour delivery!!! Phoned to be told 'its on its way'. It was not! If you're overrun or busy or have forgotten order, just say! Don't lie!!! Started my dinner at nearly 10pm after ordering just after 7!! It was cold and not very nice! Ordered another previous takeaway on the 21st November and was a nearly two hour delivery, thought it was a one off - obviously not!!! Looking for new Chinese takeaway delivery!!!

Put order in through Just Eat. Delivery driver left voicemail saying that they'd tried to call me, no calls received. I called restaurant and they didn't have driver's number to contact them. Had to go to another place for an extremely late dinner. They then posted that the item had been delivered on Just Eat. I'm now down nearly £30 because of their incompetence. I do not recommend this place at all.

Placed order online at 19.35.At 20.45 called to check the order had been received and how much longer we would be waiting. Was told the order had already left. I live 2 minutes (no exaggeration) from the takeaway and it still hasn’t arrived by 21.30. Was clearly lied to the first time I called, if they had been honest and said the order had been missed, it wouldn’t have been a problem.Food arrived at 21.35 cold bland and clearly rushed!! It’s the most expensive Chinese around and is not worth the money! Was offered 10% off my order but when 4 dishes are £30, they can keep it!
