Lobster Smack in Castle Point

Lobster Smack Pub Canvey Island..well what can i say..Its about the nicest pub i have ever been in..The food is out of this world and cooked to perfection.Myself and my family will be coming back this year without a doubt.So friendly staff and always polite.I absolutly adore the pub100% feedback everytime.Cant wait to go back there.

Whilst the menu had a lot of choice the food was disappointing. I had the bruschetta for starters which came on soft bread, not toasted. For our mains we had scampi, which was nice however the chips again were not crispy. The same with the steak however the steak itself was incredibly chewy to the point that we had to leave it. The staff were very friendly and took this off the bill. Haven’t visited for a while, before today, but the food used to be much much nicer.

Lovely food, and location. We were a large group and there weren't sufficient chairs and room for all the guests. There is an outdoor area for children which my grandsons used which was popular. Obviously has a reputation so was busy but quietened down as the afternoon progressed for a 50th birthday celebration. Highly Recommended and we will be back

We came down here tonight didnt book just two of us.Last time we come here was about a year ago and wow what can i say.Bloody amazing food was 100% had a rump steak and not one bit of gristle its was amazing.My husband made his own dinner up that was a mix and match and was very pleased (makes a change for him)And the staff was very friendly and helpful.Will definitely be back.Well done xx

Went to a 40th birthday party here. Had a fantastic evening. Staff were so lovely and friendly and very hard working. Food was lovely.

A very nice place to go for a family dinner. Friendly welcome, lovely food and a decent drink selection. Definitely will be back!

Some interesting dishes on the menu along with standard pub fare, reasonably priced and good portion sizes. Most importantly well cooked and tasty. Service was 1st rate and staff very helpful and friendly.

Great busy boozer, we only wanted a basic fish finger sandwich, but instead a whole small fried fish in a baguette!Tasted as good as it looked!

Absolutely love the friendly atmosphere and food is great.I live in London but always visit this pub when in Canvey.

Great historical pub with excellent service just by the sea.
