Mumtaz Mahal in Castle Point

Managed to get through a lot of dishes on their menu. Never failed to deliver, highly recommend!

I love this place! Incredibly friendly, brilliant food, lovely drinks, and at a reasonable cost. Have been going here for quite a few years now but realised I've never reviewed them. Can't wait for my next visit here and keep up the top work!

Bland, bland, bland… no taste what so ever I had to politely ask for my curry and Bombay potato to be removed off my bill as it was completely tasteless and I wasn’t the only one to say that at my table but I was the only one brave enough to ask for it to be removed from my bill… didn’t eat any of it, when the bill came they hadn’t removed my curry i AGAIN had to politely ask for it to be removed as they could clearly see I hadn’t eaten it everyone at my table said how my curry was completely bland no flavour I was then confronted by a guy who said I had the butter chicken curry it’s meant to be bland…I always order butter chicken wherever I go and have never had something so tasteless I then said I’m sorry but it was horrible like eaten plain mush…he was arguing back with me like I was in the wrong refusing to take it off the bill I refused to pay as I didn’t touch my food. In the end he removed it and I got death stares until I left. will not be returning and I would not recommend

Had a fantastic meal from this restaurant, the first time I have used them, and everything was so tasty. I will definitely be using them again

First time trying here after moving to the area, food was fantastic and staff were very good. Will definitely be back!

Reasonably priced and good food. The waiter was very helpful recommending vegan options.

We were welcomed into a very busy restaurant without a booking and speedily accommodated. Food was really tasty and real value for money. Atmosphere was buzzing at 7pm and people arriving after us had to go upstairs.

Can't go wrong with the Mumtaz. Good food.Fast service and nice cold drinks. Thanks for squeezing us in last night. Lovely meal.

I have been going here for 40 years , what more can I say . It's the best . Now my children go there 😊 A restaurant run by well respected friends that some people might call staff/ waiters to us they are family.

Went here for a belated work Christmas Curry which we had to cancel many times because of COVID, staff friendly and food absolutely superb, one of the best I have been to, would definitely go again.
