I have put one star as I can't comment on the Hadleigh tea rooms as they are never open when we visit for our walks. We have met lots of people who like us have gone there and have found it closed too. Apparently, the website says it's open but it isn't. The farm is open for the kiddies.

So much history in this place and a nice room for having lunch. Knowing the purpose of the place it is worth going there and just supporting the cause.I enjoyed walking around the place. There is an old castle near by worth to see as well. Beautiful views and in a good weather it can serve for picnics. There is place for parking as well...The food was OK and if you are with friends it does taste better!Check out the picture in front of the dining room as you enter in.The vision of the Salvation Army leaders is amazing! How was London before more than 100 years and what was the vision of Christ followers is very challenging. We need more people like that with vision not just to save people from sin but give them a future and hope in life...If you are visiting the area this is a good stop as well.

I love this place. Beautiful setting, views across the Thames estuary. Reasonable prices. They also help those with with learning disabilities to have a job. It occasionally makes getting the right order a bit more interesting, but that's part of it's charm.

Lovely little place. Perfect to stop off before or after you visit either the castle or the farm. The food is good and reasonably priced and the service is quick. What's not to like? Highly recommended

A great place, food and service lovely, great to see that giving learning difficulties a purpose in. Life. Those that gave awful reviews about the staff and learning difficulties. Then don't think you was brought up very well. As for waiting for meals. I'd rather have it cooked and hot than under cooked and cold. People don't have patience these days. Great dogs are allowed to. Think they are better behaved than kids these days. The ploughman's lunch was great. Hope to visit again soon.
