Ampthill Fish Shop in Central Bedfordshire

Told us to leave because We wanted to pay by card and not cash even tried pushing my friend out of the shop for being too loud. A complete joke and the food isn’t even that good and ridiculously overpriced

Used this takeaway the other night. We had a mixture of kebabs with chips. The staff were friendly, the service was great, and the food was very tasty. They have a good selection at reasonable prices. I was very happy. I would highly recommend this business!!

The food is really nice and good quality and the staff are friendly. Been going here over a year for fish and chips when I fancied it and never had a bad experience.

This was the worst fish and chips I've ever had the batter was like rubber and there was only a thin amount of cod i only ate a small amount of it As it was that bad brought a sausage as well looked inside didn't look right binned it made me ill for a day to top it off im never going back

I have to clarify that the food is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The staff are incredible like always! The chip shop is brilliant. The manager always notifies us if there is a problem. For me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Never had a bad meal from Ampthill Fish Bar. Great fish, tasty fresh kebabs. Even when mad busy, always produce the goods

I’ve waited ten years TEN YEARS okay ? To try a real English fish&chips.Ended in Ampthill pretty much by luck and drive past the place. First I did not understand as it’s called Anpthill Fish Bar but they advertised kebab and burgers. Still went to the net saw some awful and gorgeous reviews.Well I just got one of the best new of my life. Am no expert in fish&chips just heard how it was supposed to taste from an old Kitchen’s nightmare show. Well it tasted how he described it and how I’ve always wished it tasted. Marvelous.Would recommend 100%(Careful if not from England you might find it odd that they ask if you want “only salt” on your fries because they mean salt and vinegar otherwise ^^

Have been going to this place for years and it's just perfect, kebabs are delicious, burgers and everything else! Staff are very, very friendly and they're always busy which is a good sign. Good on them for surviving through the last year too! If you want a classic kebab, these are the boys to go see!
