Green Man La Stalla Restaurant in Central Bedfordshire

Such a friendly pub, and six stars for service. We had only just sat down outside with our drinks when the landlady came out and swapped my wife's white wine because she (the landlady) thought the first serving wasn't chilled enough! That is first class service. I have only dropped one star because there's no food offering, but if you just want a drink I couldn't recommend the Green Man highly enough.

Great family run Italian restaurant. They always serve fabulous fresh home cooked meals. Tonight's treat was a prawn linguine with a slightly spicy lobster bisque sauce 😍👍delicious!

Food,as usual, excellent, unfortunately the service was dire - on arrival was told by the waiter that he would bring the specials menu - he didn't. Ordered drinks, waited 10 minutes. Ordered food 6 persons, 2 starters only, everyone else main courses, waited a further 30 minutes (for cold starters?) then had to ask for bread(?), then had to wait for the main courses,all in all about 1.5 HOURS after we'd been seated!When we pointed out to the owner/manager that we weren't exactly happy with our wait he became quite aggressive and pointed out that no-one else in the restaurant was complaining!- perhaps not, but WE were and maybe an apology could be forthcoming?

We have been to La Stalla many times over fifteen+ years. It has become one of our favourite restaurants as in all that time, we have never been disappointed with the food and wine. La Stalla is a family business - Sunday lunch at La Stalla was excellent today - highly recommended.

Amazing menu with great service

Went there for Valentine's day with my partner. The food was out of this world, attention to detail was perfect and the staff are all very friendly and approachable - a perfect and very romantic evening.This was our first visit here but we'll definitely be going back again.

We have booked this fabulous restaurant for both family 'events', romantic dinners and Sunday lunches over the last 5 years since moving here (Clophill).The service is helpful, friendly and attentive.The quality of the food is a testament to their chef's skills and whilst they have a limited to "no" daily specials, the menu has a great selection.Wine can be pricey but the quality matches the food.I would recommend this restaurant to you and I am really surprised that it does not merit a "top 5 star" rating from the various guides on eating out.
