Highwayman in Central Bedfordshire

The staff was very friendly the food was fare evening meals was not that hot and the breakfast was not that good the bed room was very nice and the bed was comfortable to sleep in

Arrived for lunch at around 1.45pm, ordered drinks which were very nice and reasonably priced. Went to order food, but was told we can not order for 30mins due to a delivery just arriving and all the staff need to deal with that first! Sat in a booth with drinks and was going to watch the rugby and wait, but the screen was like a 1980s throwback. We left and ordered take away at our hotel instead and watched the game there.

Popped in for a quick light bite , big fresh gorgeous salad loads of leafy greens, cues and toms and freshly made coleslaw plus a lovely dressing! was expecting such a lovely salad to accompany my baked cheesey spud which was also lush will defo be back!

We regularly visit the highway man. We find the environment very welcoming, always clean and tidy.The staff are very friendly we have the same waitresses each visit I believe her name is Christine she alway got a smile and happy to see us. She goes Beyond her duties to make us feel welcome and checks to make sure everything is okay.The food is fresh and hot. You never have to wait long for a meal to arrive.This is why we return each week for our lunch.

Ordered a Takeaway burger through the app (which was dead easy and very helpful for those minimising contacts) but arrived early so popped in for a pint. Despite the Abbot Ale being unavailable, the Greene King IPA was tasty and well kept. The bar staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the food was ready early! I would highly recommend this pub.

My Dad had booked a table for 4,we were able to change the booking to 6,which was good. I do have a couple of situations, firstly, the Restaurant seem to run out of Lemons 🍋, bit of a surprise 😮, also at one point in the night, I went to order our Sweet and nobody was at the Bar for a good 5 minutes. Three people were waiting, but they did apologise. My Wifes and My Steak weren't done properly, they apologised, and took them off bill 😑. Overall it was a nice evening, but a busy one for them. So friendly and helpful staff. They made our stay! Rooms need a refurb but very clean and comfortable. Bar staff friendly and helpful but as for the the house keeping staff , absolute legends!Definitely stay here again!

Amazing food and service really recommend ate here 3 days in a row whilst working away from home and couldn't fault anything.

Good vegetarian options! Not the best hungry horse around, however the food was good. Staff were friendly, but slow at times. Wish portion sizes were a bit bigger. But definitely good value for money!

I went back to the highwayman tonight to see if it was consistent to our last visit I found the service from staff remained high and the food presentation was good except peas we two different colours tells me new peas were added on top of old peas the scampi was luke warm and it felt a bit chucked on the plate apart from this the scampi and chips was ok the big plate curry was well presented on the plate. The curry, chips rice were all great well cooked but the onion bargie were well over cooked and near to burnt and the pompadom was slightly under cooked which gave a slight bad consistency to eat but never the less priced fairly I will review again soon
