Excellent quality of food and staff. As only Lauren and Sam were on duty. They were exceptional service.

Well where do we begin. Arrived Friday night as we were staying in the premiere inn next to it. The food on the Friday night was good and also the breakfast in the morning. The waitress Shannen was very attentive and friendly.On Saturday night it was a completely different story the staff we’re useless none of them knew what the other was doing. The waitress kept pestering us when we were eating our meals ( are you still munching, are you done yet!!!!)There was much confusion about the menu and the meal deal. All we were told the till says NO. Had to pay extra which wasn’t a problem with us But they made it one. AS FOR CONNER HE COULDN’T RUN A BATH.Needless to say we will not be returning.One very unhappy couple.

Food was ok seem to be rushed Quality not as good as we have had before. The restaurant was quiet and only had one staff member working who tried his best

Had big family meal service and hospitality was fab but food not so only get like 10 chips on your plate the roast dinner was not nice at all the roast taste like they were aunt bessies just cooked in a load of fat, only get 1 pig in blanket and just looks like they have put 3 yorkshire on your plate to make it look like u have a big roast dinner and even they were frozen ones

Still like this place for the small rooms that allow for a more private dining experience. On this visit service seemed to struggle.When asking what the Soup of the Day was the staff were unsure. One claiming carrot. Another saying broccoli. I opted for breaded garlic mushrooms that were delivered well in advance of the rest of my group's starters. They were somewhat unappealing and overcooked, putting up resistance against the fork.Main course was Sweet Potato Curry. The curry was cooked into submission and the poppadom soft and pliable.

Waitress dropped some hot food onto one of us when serving our meal, but did give us a few more scampi to apologise. The staff weren’t very organised, and were hard to catch when we needed assistance. The meal itself was okay, but I would’ve preferred my starter to arrive well in advance before my main meal.Overall, I was disappointed with my experience and will not be returning anytime in the near future until I hear that the service here has been improved.I used to come here all the time for dinner and never had a problem - now this place has just gone downhill.

Family of 6 decided to go for dinner after a day out..arrived at Horse and Jockey at 7.45 took a while to be greeted by Connor B was asked rather rudely if we had booked obviously hadn't!! Told they weren't busy and were closing at 9 ..must admit food was good and waitress very attentive . Thought through these difficult times customers were important !!

Would give 0 if I could. Booked a table for 5 people at 2pm. Host at front desk seemed like he couldn't be arsed to be there, a waitress came over and took a drinks order and then the food. Starters came out after about half and hour wait and she was trying her best to accommodate 3 of 5 of us having food allergy and providing the correct info and was polite and helpful.After a hour wait she tried to chase the kitchen for our food ( 4 roast dinners and a salad) on a couple of occasions after that. As was the other waitress who seemed to be running about trying to help other customers. Felt bad for them as they couldn't get any food from the kitchen.After another half hour we gave up and left, went to the harvester down the road and got served our meals within 20 mins of ordering.AVOID THIS RESTRAUNT if you don't want to waste your evening starving yourself.

The staff are a genuine breath of fresh air!!So many places these days have disengaged staff who simply don't care about the customer but every member of the team I met on the day went out of their way to be helpful and give great service.I picked the location for a business meeting as it was half way for us both and hoped that we might be able to find a quiet table to talk at.I mentioned this to the chap who met me at the door and he directed me to a part of the restaurant that was quiet and explained what they could offer us in the way of food and drinks.We had a great meeting that in fairness did run for a few hours longer than anticipated but wasn't a problem because of where we were seated.Food and coffee were great and will 100% return when in the area.I highly recommend this as a great place to meet friends, family or for business

Easy to find. Ample parking. Visited on a Wednesday for lunch. Front house was already slow and under staffed. 1 waitress for the restaurant! Front house man kept wondering off to do wine orders and such and the waitress was inundated with all the customers! Seeing as how busy the waitress was, we went to find the waitress to give the order (figured someone should help!). Drinks and food took a while since they were quite clearly UNDERSTAFFED !!!! Food quality.. mediocre.. good dessert. The waitress was lovely and did her best to keep on top of it all and offered us a voucher for the delay. I sincerely hope the management take note and use common sense to provide their staff with help.
