Most consistent fish and chips shop in Dunstable.Always being greeted and acknowledged when walking in by the young woman.Everything is cooked to order so it worth the wait! None of that soggy batter or mushy chips. Every bite and chip is nice and crisp. The best thing, my god she knows how to salt and vinegar a portion perfectly.

Beat fish and chips I have had and not in just this area but everywhere I have been. Always fresh with great service and they take card as well

Having tried many of the chip shops in dunstable, we decided to give Mike's a try this evening. Hands down the best fish and chips in dunstable. Food was hot, fresh and delicious and to top it all off, he threw in some free battered creme eggs! Will definitely be a regular now!

Located across road from Asda, we phone in our order, our son loves the Bigfoot (foot long battered sausage), the food is always freshly cooked, the staff is friendly. You can eat in now, and has a toilet @ the rear.

What happened ??Mikes Fish & Chips were good. Not today !The Fish was not crispy and the batter to thick and soggy on the inside. The chips were half the portion I usually get and not crisp either and pretty much all squashed.Service was friendly but omg was staff slow, I ordered and one girl was just standing 'round and literally 4 min after my order went in she decided to batter the fish and started cooking it.Until now I would have recommended Mikes Fish and Chips without reservation.... until now. Might have to look elsewhere ....You have to do better!!!

Fantastic food, great price and fast service. Food was fresh cooked as i waited. had takeaway and the food was wrapped up very nicely. The service was amazing, the lady there even went to the trouble of bringing the food around to me instead of passing it over the counter. Food tasted delicious and portions were wonderful. Highly recommend this place .

It's a no frills, unpretentious chippy, which is the sort that appeals to me most. It's a small restaurant as it's first and foremost a takeaway with a few tables on offer.Nevertheless, the service is prompt and friendly, the portions sensibly sized to satisfy, but not leave the average appetite reaching for indigestion tablets. The food is hot and freshly cooked but it's not up there with the best, which in my opinion is down to the oil they use. It never seems fresh to me.So I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there but it is one of my go to places if I'm nearby and in need of a quick and reliable lunch.

Visited here prior to a show at the Grove - didn't expect much, just wanted some warm food as I'd had very little to eat that day. Very pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and the service provided. Staff were very busy that evening but nothing was sacrificed - a testament to the quality that many other people were waiting, some in excess of 20 minutes, but were all willing to wait for the food served! Highly recommended. Good honest food with great staff and at a very reasonable price. Can't ask for more really.
