Old Palace Restaurant in Central Bedfordshire

The garden area outside is a nice surprise. The interior is a step back in time and could do with a refurb as a bit tired. Good location.

Had an evening meal with family. Excellent menus, staff attention second to none. Lovely setting. Would definitely recommend.

Having recently needed hotel accommodation close to the hospital I stumbled across this hotel.It is a little hidden gem. When you see it sitting on the side of a main road you might have misgivings however as soon as you go inside you are greeted by the most friendly staff.I booked a deluxe room and I was pleasantly surprised at the standard. They had everything you might want, and nothing was too much trouble.I only wish I had found this little gem a few weeks ago when I stayed at a different hotel, not much difference but 3 times the price.I would highly recommend.

We hired the Catherine suite for a birthday celebration during the Christmas break 2021. Due to covid the date had to be changed. The events team Paul & Kylie were very understanding and made a very stressful situation easy. The whole occassion was amazing. I had 29 guests for a 3 course meal, everyone commented on how lovely the food was and how friendly, professional & helpful the staff were. Especially Kirsty & Marco who went above & beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. Marco was very attentive to all our needs, taking special care with a Gluten free guest. Thank you. We also had a number of rooms that were clean and comfortable. Some of my guests from London even said they might consider Christmas lunch. Thanks for helping make my 50th birthday celebration special. Lisa

We had our Christmas party here last weekend. Warm welcome. Lovely food. Great singer and good music. Would recommend and will come again.

No heating in the room. Rang the reception 4 times in the night to move and a member of staff named Alex checked two other rooms and said the heating in them rooms was not working. Room was very tired and dated, they classed this room as a executive room, expressed my frustration to Franko the manager In the morning. Will not be returning at this hotel again. A travelodge room is far more better than what they describe a executive room. Avoid at all costs!!!

We just needed to get away for a weekend but within a 45 min drive from home. the Old Palace Lodge Hotel was perfect. A bit run down in appearance from the outside but inside was lovely. Our Deluxe room was perfect. Immaculately clean. Well presented in a contemporary style. Very well equipped. Stunning en suite and good quality toiletries. Outstanding restaurant, superb quality and standard food. Breakfast was 9/10. The walled garden was wonderful with plenty of seating and different zones to relax in. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. As for cleanliness i can honestly say our room was immaculate!! Worth every penny and we would highly recommend staying here if ever you need to be close to Dunstable. We had the most enjoyable weekend

A great place for a wedding. We really enjoyed our day here for my fiancés cousins wedding. Tasteful decoration inside that looks great and a great selection of ales, spirits, wines and ciders at the bar. Kept me going all night!The ceremony room was really nice too. Enough space for average sized wedding. Overall, a really nice day.Would definitely come here again.

A very pleasant Masonic Ladies' Night last evening. Outstanding service in excellent accommodation. I booked a suite and was certainly not disappointed. Courtesy night lights in the shower room. Recently refurbished to a very high standard, with a 'Cinema' screen TV.

The deluxe suite is nicely done up and very comfortable, the smart telly crashes quite often. Dinner menu is descent, though one night the well done beef came out medium rare but the staff was very apologetic and offered a replacement. All in all staff was friendly, suite was great, WiFi was a decent speed what else can you ask for
