Good to have a pub with a few more decent beers that are brewed locally! Fun, buzzing atmosphere and food is okay.We were a bit disappointed with our kebabs as the bread wasn't warmed and seemed a small amount of meat for a large kebab, but it won't stop us from trying again with something different.

We had a lovely evening here. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. They’re serving cask & keg drinks on taps as well as some variety in fridge with wines at a very affordable price. Delicious freshly baked pizzas in food menu. Absolutely beautiful atmosphere inside. Bigger & lovely place. We’ll defo coming back. Would highly recommend a visit here,

Really had a lovely visit to this quaint pub. Really nice pizza and by boyfriend had a bacon and cheese burger which he said was great.Good choice in drinks and the staff are so friendly and fun.The decoration is super cute as well. Will definitely make this a place to visit when I’m in the area

We went for a Sunday walk with our kids last week and found this place, it was so nicely set up and the waitress and bar staff very kindly advised us on what to order as we didn’t know what would be best.We shared a Sunday roast of beef, a pizza and a burger which were great. Thank you

Great pub, food does just what it says on the tin, lovely. Even the fact Charlie behind the bar has put a bit of weight on dosent extract from the vibe of the pub. I do and will keep visiting this great last bastion of the old school pub, where everybody knows your name.....

Great refurb, spacious ,airy. Unfortunately the Sunday roast was very poor and overpriced. One chicken leg,a few green beans, stone cold Yorkshire and soggy roast potatoes. Won't be rushing back!

First time visit as we've recently moved to Bedford. We've tried a few Sunday roasts in the area and have been searching for somewhere to take family in a few weeks timePros - food flavour was excellent and the beer was really nice. Excellent staff too.Cons - both meals could have been a few degrees warmer. We were offered the option to have our meals replaced but we hate food waste so opted to eat what had been served. Will we be back with family? Maybe not but we'll certainly give it another go sometime.

Let's start positive, Sunday roast was decent. Beef served pink, well cooked veg with bite and hand made Yorkshire pudding.BUTWe waited over 1hr15 for the food. After 50 minutes I asked a member of staff where our food was, she said she'd check, went away and then didn't come back to update us, instead deciding to clear a table and smile at us seemingly forgetting that I'd ask for an update. I then had to ask her again what was happening with the food, and she replied it would be ten minutes (it wasn't, it was a further 25).When the food arrived, I offered some constructive feedback, but this new server could not have been less interested, stating that the kitchen had been very busy and offering no apology. If any managers happen to read this, I repeat my feedback1 if there is likely to be a delay on food, set expectations at the point of ordering2 if the kitchen cannot cope with a full restaurant, don't book all the tables out3 your serving staff need customer skills training. If a customer asks where the food is, it's polite to find out and report back.4 I observed two other tables get up and ask after their food. Clearly there was a backlog in the kitchen. At that point, a manager should step in to understand the problems and communicate to customers before they complain5 when customers offer constructive feedback, an apology, sincerely delivered, is the expected norm. It should also be alerted to the manager so steps can be taken.I suspect many of those I saw complaining will not return. Certainly we'll be steering clear of eating here and cannot now recommend it.

I would 100% recommend a visit to all my friends and family. The staff have gone above and beyond to make sure we are happy with our food and keeping our drinks nicely topped up. The menu looks fabulous with a great selection of food that was delicious, to make it better we had a short wait! Atmosphere buzzing..we had a great time. Thank you!
