Welcoming and helpful staff, interesting and well executed dishes in a wonderful building. So great to see the business continue with many of the same staff even as the leadership has changed

Bought a coffee on Saturday 40mins before closing time. Within 5 mins they were sweeping up near to us, and then they started sweeping literally underneath the chair I was sitting on! If they didn't want us there then they should NOT have sold us the coffee in the first place.I didn't give them 1 stars because previously, midweek, we've had better experience.

Came today as my mother in law is Celiac and googled where we could for in the area for gluten free cakes etcWhen we walked in and read the menu - we were blown away by the selection of lovely dishes and we decided to have tea and cake AFTER trying some savoury dishes! The food is superb - very lovingly prepared and presented. The staff are super friendly and attentative and the place has a fab buzz.We simply loved it and can't wait to return.

friendly staff, good selection of home made cakes (including gluten free). They don't take cards, so make sure you have cash on you. Would come here more often if it was easier to park nearby.

Good honest food.Kids are welcome.Good selection of tea and coffee. The best orange and rosemary cake ever!In fact all cakes are delicious.Toilet facilities are a little old and could do with a refurbishment hence 4stars instead of 5.Baby change quite awkward to access.Overall nice and cosy place.Shabby chic.

Really disagree with some of the reviews here that talk about this place as child friendly. Don't wish to personalize this, but the male owner has always been very surly to us (we live not far away). After several visits we decided not to go there any more, as he gave off an anti child vibe and kicked a dustpan and brush at us along the floor so we (two sets of parents) could 'clean up the mess' our kids had made (a few crumbs). I'd give it a serve.
