Had a great Sunday lunch. Good to see the pub and restaurant doing so well after lockdown. Relaxed atmosphere and staff who were eager to help and had a natural smile! A nice touch was being asked how we would like our beef roast cooked. Very good value for money. We will be back again.

Had lunch in The French Horn a few weeks ago after a windy dog walk at Sharpenhoe Clappers - the owners also now have The Crooked Billet which is my local, so we thought we'd check it out.I had the sausage and onion sandwich with quite possibly the best skin on fries I've eaten in a long time! The staff were really friendly and the bar had a nice atmosphere. It's quite a big pub with large dining areas and I imagine gets very busy in the summer. All in all, well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Great quality food and 1st class service 👌

Fabulous food, pleasant atmosphere and our servers, Eva and Daniel, were first class. Everyone on our table for four thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Definitely recommended.

Booked a table in the restaurant to be seated in a crowded noisy bar instead. On arrival we were shown to our bar table where there were three chairs for the four of us. My husband had to search for his chair. After 10 minutes we had to then prompt the waiting staff to see a menu. After ordering we waited 50minutes for our food to arrive while watching our waitress cuddling various dogs and puppies in the bar area. She then came out with our food- doubtful she had washed her hands let alone changed her apron. We again had to prompt her for cutlery! Food was distinctly average for a roast but the whole experience was poor for the price paid. Will not be visiting again.

All round excellent service and food. Probably one of the best in Bedfordshire.

We have recently visited several time over the christmas and new year with my 2 dogs (gracie and Betty for the people we met) and my partner. The staff have been very nice, helpful in regards to the dogs and all round lovely! The bar area is relaxed and chatty in retaliation to the restaurant which is very well tuck away so you have the meal your after.Thank you for the hospitality

I came to this place based on its excellent google reviews. The menu and food did not disappoint!I was a little annoyed that i wasnt offered the specials by my server and after i had ordered a different server offered the table next to me - garlic king prawns tail on and 10oz rump - sounds amazing!I had snails for the first time, tasted like chewy dirt but that was taste preference. They were cooked to perfection, my chicken kiev was the best ive ever tasted and the vegetables..... makes me want to move closer 😂The staff were friendly, attentitve although they were so busy as it was a saturday evening.Drinks and food reasonably priced. If i lived closer i would be here every week. 10/10 for food. 4/5 for service.
