Really good pub. Large beer garden and very friendly helpful staff. Food is good too. Dog friendly 🙂

Came here for a bite to eat. First time. Garden is lovely, very big and loads of games for the kids. Free pool on a Monday. I had Cajun chicken pasta which was lovely, great value for money. The other meal was a double gourmet burger which was huge! Meals were £12.99 and £13.99. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

This pub the Golden Lion has gone right downhill these past few months,rude staff and rowdy customers , it is most certainly not a family pub and would advise not to take young children in there. The foul language from men in there is appalling even for other adults to hear never mind children, best just to avoid this pub .. also its a great shame that they didnt close the pub when the landlord had Covid, no they kept it open for it to spread to customers unlike the other village pub the Admiral who closed for 2 days and the pub was sterilized throughout before they opened their doors to the public again. Again I would advise avoiding the Golden Lion at all costs.

Terrible, you get short changed, rude land lady, she charges you once for around off drinks then states "you havent paid", then proceeds to charge you again, which has caused numerous altercations and violent episodes. In addition, the child should remain in the family eating area, instead they are in the bar where drunk people are, this is very unsafe and dangerous. Advice pay with app only or totally avoid this pub.

Great service great staff great foodSecond visit with 12 people this time it was 18 last time all dinners came out on time amazing!!!No complaints and all staff put up with our kids that's saying somethingI highly recommend this pub it was superb

Bacon and cheese burger was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten, seriously! Washed down with a couple of pints of Old Speckled Hen was close to perfection. Would recommend, highly!

Waitresses were polite and friendly, however the service was appalling. Our orders were taken promptly and then we waited, and waited, and waited. Eventually after we complained the drinks arrived. The food was passable at best. There were plenty of staff and few customers.

A much revived local country pub with a great atmosphere, great food and a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Great for lunch and evening meals. Family and dog friendly with a big back garden and dedicated kids play area, what more could you want. :)
