Me and my girlfriend went there for some food. Was pretty over priced.. Took about 45 minutes to serve food then tried the burger... It tasted like horse meat and just requested the young lad took it away. Do not eat here if you value quality good food.

1st time I've been there for many yrs since moving away. Had a business lunch. Service was friendly and quick. We had a fry up each. Incredible value for what you got. And you get a cup of tea thrown in as well. Pub still looks good. Used to love a weekend party here yrs ago. Looks like it still has them going by speakers and lights everywhere. But I'll stick to food review as that's what I had. don't expect exceptional food for this price, however for about £6 for a fry up and tea you won't go wrong. Recommended all round

Nice and friendly staff but the music being played was outdated and boring. This pub used to be a good nightclub precovid but now I wouldn't class it anything more than a pub.

We always have a really good night at the Sugar Loaf. There are two bars, the front one starting with 60s, 70s, and the so on, and the back bar with younger pop music. Good DJs. The Loaf has started a Quiz night followed by karaoke.

Service with a smile, very short wait times and family friendly. Think similar to spoons style. Would recommend.

Had a great time today at the old sugar loaf, went in for a pint and something to eat (great Hunter's chicken by the way ). Turns out that due to an honest mistake my food order never went in to the kitchen and this popped up when I went to the bar to check if everything was okay. Not only they brought it straight away but they offered a complimentary pint even though I understood and wasn't at all upset. Super nice , will return

A great pub, it turns out I've been here before although my memory I blurred by the fact it was a lot be music open mic night and I was a little tipsy 🤣. It's got a great back yard and the food is bangin. The manager is old school the way we like it and the staff are great. Kudos to the chef who filled my belly to aching with a lamb roast dinner at 7.30pm on a Sunday... Fair go guys you're rockin it 👍 They truly deserve the extra star every meal and pont has been ace. Thanks guys

Never ordered from here before, so I thought I'd give it a try. They give good portions. I enjoyed the top doughnut, chips, onions rings, bacon, cheese, coleslaw and salad. The burger meat tasted nice but sadly it was grisly throughout and I couldn't eat the bottom doughnut of the burger because it was completely squashed, soggy and inedible. I wouldn't try their burgers again and I would recommend to the restaurant for home delivery to place the 2nd doughnut inside the box to keep it from getting ruined. I would eat from there again, but would try something else. Thanks

Decided to make this my third point of call for a breakfast, I decided on Farmhouse Breakfast consisting of 2 fried eggs, bacon x2, sausages x2, mushrooms, black pudding, grilled tomatoes with toast and mug of tea.My only criticism was the tea coming in a mug with tea bag already in it, but for £5.95 I'm not gonna moan to much about that.....so a full 5 stars for the friendly service and good value, I will most certainly visit again
