Lovely meal from start to finish. Very welcoming atmosphere. The staff were attentive and informative especially for someone like me who has dietary requirements nothing was any trouble at all. The food was delicious (cod cheeks and hummus, lamb mains and pistachio soufflé) and for once I could actually have a pudding! Definitely go back again! 😁

Excellent atmosphere, happy and competent staff. Sadly, if you're vegetarian only one option and it is outrageously expensive too. Pumpkin ravioli, no sides included, plus souffle desert. £42! Totally unjustified pricing.

Superb in all respects - ambience, comfort and, most importantly, quality of food, wines and service. Cooking of all dishes was exemplary and delicious; Emily served us perfectly at the table. We very much look forward to a further visit.

The attention to detail is incredible and it starts at the point of entrance. Every single element is thought of and it is such a wonderful experience. The food has never disappointed, the menus are always creative and impossible to choose from due to the amazing dishes available.Special dietary requirements come across as no bother at all and we really appreciate the extent the kitchen goes to for these, one never feels an after thought; there are consistently creative and delicious options available. The atmosphere is delightful due to the people who work and visit here in addition to the lovely gardens and interior. The drinks menu is also worth a mention as it is varied and diverse.Without a doubt our favourite place to eat and is always highly recommended.

This was my first visit to The Plough on the recommendation by some friends. It was absolutely fab 👌The food is made to an exceptionally high standard - hence why it is Fine Dining - and my food was excellent. There was a large table full of customers in the next room. My previous experience of other restaurants is the large tables are served first and the rest of us have to wait. This was not the case at The Plough and my smaller table was served at the same time as the larger one. My compliments to the Chef and their kitchen team for achieving this. The waiting team were polite, well mannered, attentive but never intrusive. They achieved the right balance making sure we did not feel we were waiting overly long for our food nor did we feel rushed. The room decor was Tudor and yet homely, with a log fire burning.Overall, I rate The Plough as excellent and recommend it.

The Plough could not have been more accommodating when we approached them to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Our family of 12, could not have had a better experience. The staff were delightful, attentive and accommodating to all our requests. All the meals were top quality, beautifully presented and delicious. I would give them 10 stars **********!!

Me and my wife had a great meal here. Excellent service, excellent starters and excellent mains. The food looked and tasted superb and it was cooked perfectly. If duck is on the menu I tend to order it and i don't think I have had it better than here. My only criticism was the cheese course for dessert..the different cheeses were great but some actual biscuits would have been nice and the presentation of it was poor, especially considering how great everything else looked. In fairness, hardly any restaurants manage to make cheese and biscuits the right decision for your choice of dessert and this wasn't any different. The desserts the other tables ordered looked immense I was envious. Overall, its a fabulous place to go, friendly, a nice welcome, great food and great service in a lovely setting.

Service was brilliant, very quick and the right level of attentiveness. Extremely lovely and polite staff. It was clean and the presentation of the table and food was beautiful. The food was delicious. My only drawback was the menu which was unnecessarily complicated.
