We went here for a meal last Thursday. Called them before going to book a table (4) and they confirmed they could seat us. We ordered and waited 1 hour 20 mins for our dinner. Twice we enquired on the meal and was told it would be out shortly, which it wasn’t. The attitude of the lady on the bar was ‘I don’t care’ and not at anytime was we given an apology for being kept waiting. The restaurant wasn’t even full. Needless to say we won’t be going back there

Amazing place! Lovely food, ambiance and a cracking pint of Peroni!

A lovely country pub serving good food at good prices. It has a garden where you can sit and eat when the weather is nice.I had the crab linguine, which had plenty of meat and cooked to perfection, it has a little hint of chilli to add another layer of taste. The bar person was friendly, chatty and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit, but you may need to book a table, best to phone ahead.

Went for my birthday. Good quality food, extensive drinks menu. Went at a quiet early evening and despite restaurant empty we we shown to a table in the door way with noise from the bar and traffic to and from the garden. Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.

Lovely location, peaceful restaurant (when we visited, on a Monday evening), friendly service and tasty food!Update April 2022 - enjoyed a pleasant couple of drinks sitting outside. Very good range of outdoor seating options including some netted gazebos (will be good in warmer weather when insects are more of an issue). In cooler conditions, though, some outdoor heating would be nice - just a suggestion!

Lovely fresh food. The fish of the day was beautiful. Cooked just right. The desserts are just scrumptious

This is my local pub, so I reluctantly give a poor review. We were seven guests on a Sunday. The restaurant was packed and we had reserved our table. We ordered basic dishes burgers, Sunday roast and wraps... We sat down and had one round of drinks. It took 1 hour and 40 minutes for our food to come, in this time we were not offered or ask if we wanted more drinks. When we did ask for more drinks they were tasteless and had to be remade. We did ask after about 1:15 hour where our food was which didn't speed it up much. As this was a treat from Mum/Grandma, we didn't want to complain or stress out Mum... Food was good just service was terrible. We were expecting a few complimentry dishes to come by way of apoligy but nothing.

Staff were really helpful and the food was lovely. We always have the house wine and it was very good. A nice atmosphere even though it wasn't full

Top gastro style pub, been twice in the last week so can tell you it's a cracking menu with great service. Things we had that were really good, butchers burger, Turkey Xmas Dinner, half chicken, oxtail pie, sticky toffee pudding. Only item of note was the squid which was very thick and for me could have been crisper. Well worth a visit, you should book in advance though.

Birthday lunchFood perfect, ambiance was ideal. Waiting staff where attentive but not in your face, knowledable and very polite.I would thoroughly recommend and have done to all our friends. This was out first time here but will not be our last. There were 4 of us but I didn't get photos of our starters or their food. The boys had roast dinners which were large and had plenty of fresh vegetables. We all had starters and puddings and by the end we all wanted to curl up and snooze into food comas. The food was exceptional.
