The Stag Stotfold in Central Bedfordshire

Called in for lunch, first impressions were very good, pleasant decor very clean and well maintained, meals were well presented and tasty also good value for money, bar was well stocked with a good choice, it would be my local if I lived in the area!! Will certainly go back.

I went to the stag to meet a friend and have breakfast at his recommendation.First impressions that it's your proper old school pub. Nothing wrong with that at all. Nice anf clean and tidy. No sticky tables here!Ive got to say, wow, what a great recommendation it turned out to be. You won't be disappointed.We both had a cooked breakfast, which is all cooked freshly. We swapped a few things on the menu too. No problem at all. A very tasty treat.Oh, and friendly staff/ owners.What's not to like.I'll be going back!

Came in to the staff all having an attitude and ordered food. After waiting an hour for our food, we were expecting something slightly better than a pizza that looked like a £1.50 Tesco pizza from the freezer section, and mouldy wraps for the chicken fajitas. After receiving our meal, they ignored our table and asked (while smiling at other customers), asking if their food was alright. After showing them the wraps were mouldy with physical green patches, there was no apology, just a ‘I opened a new packet, we will take £5 off your meal’. What an experience…

We're "out of towners" who stumbled on this pub while we waited for a table at nearby restaurant. Staff were very friendly and the lady behind the bar was very helpful. Haven't really got anything nice to say about the locals though who seemed to be astonished by the group of "them lot" that just walked in.

Have enjoyed breakfast and evening meals here. Always good service and outstanding food

Popular local pub. Great food, extensive menu with a specials board, good prices and friendly staff.

Staff very good, food reasonably priced, show most football. Good country style pub.

The service was amazing the landlady spent time to talk, the beer was fresh, the food was served fresh and was reasonable. The sausages were to die for! Definitely going to come again

Nice pub in Stotfold. Menu looks great. I had just a drink here but will definitely try the food next time.
