Went here for family brunch. The food was really lovely, and reasonably priced. Friendly staff, lovely decor and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend, and not hesitate to go again if in the area.

Great small hotel/pub. Food is outstanding quality, served with smiles in a busy modern pub, ££ worth the money. Rooms are quirky, comfortable and shows some original wood beams, they are above the very old pub so floor and steps uneven, no lift to first floor, well insulated and cozy, no noise from the pub but yes from the main road. A little gem....

I have to assume that if you get a table in the actual restaurant, the whole Whit Hart experience would be much better. As it was, despite having a formal booking - I was not a walk-in - I was shunted to a makeshift table in the main pub where it was extremely noisy and cramped. On top of that the service was very slow - probably those seated in the cheap seats get a second class service compared to the fortunate in the restaurant. I mean why does it take 25 minutes to get 2 scoops of ice cream? After all this I should mention the food - the confit duck was excellent. So, either the White Hart should stop using tables in the pub area, or if you go, make sure you get a table in the actual restaurant!

Went last night for a close friends wedding in the stables, it was absolutely stunning. Food was delicious, with options for all (v) (vg) really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and the staff was amazing. Only down side is the parking is sparse or expensive.

Sunday roast was 5 out of 10. For £18+ I would be expecting 8+ out of 10 at least. Looked like 3 chefs at full tilt trying to do a brunch menu / regular menu / specials menu and then roasts as well. Ordered the roast chicken with honey mustard chipolatas sausages. Chicken was cooked well but the chipolatas were in fact 2 tiny cocktail sausages and couldn’t taste any honey mustard. Roast potatoes were well below par. They should just do a smaller menu a lot better. Cauli cheese could do with some Panko breadcrumbs on top to crisp it up. Sadly won’t rush back for the roast. Service staff were lovely. Nice atmosphere too.

The white hart is a fantastic, great value pub which is made even better by one member of staff in particular, Jo. My family came in for bottomless brunch and Jo could not have been more lovely, helpful or warm. She is an outstanding employee and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves - thanks so much for making our visit memorable!

Second time in the last couple of weeks have been for breakfast and completely understaffed despite the teams best endeavours. Took 45 mins to get a coffee. Breakfast took over an hour. Quality of food not good enough at the price charged.

We were out walking the dog and the landlord was outside, our dog took a shine to him and he invited us in. It's quite rare now to find a decent, dog friendly pub but ours was welcomed with fuss aplenty and his own bowl of water. The service was great and we'll definitely be walking that way again ☺🍻

So much potential ruined by not enough staff. What would be great food comes out cold. Fancy extra drinks? Chances are no one will ask. The last two times I've been I've waited 30 minutes for the bill until I gave up and had to pay at the bar.Better options elsewhere nowadays.

The overall atmosphere is lovely and the food is excellent. Wine choice here is great and often differs, so it makes for a lovely variety. They have a large outside area which is heated so great all year round. The service although lovely is very slow, sometimes you can wait a while for the bill or even for someone to take orders. I would totally recommend, but not for a quick bite to eat.
