From entering to leaving the visit was awful. On booking for a table of 4 for 8pm, I was asked to choose either 7-45or 8-15pm, of which I chose the latter. On our arrival and parking at the rear On the near desolate car park, the waiter, to whom we would meet soon, was just arriving at the same time as ourselves. The rear customer entrance made finding our way to the Restaurant area very difficult, as the kitchen is situated on the first floor.We were shown to a table near the front window that was bathed in very dim lighting, and WE WERE THE ONLY DINERS IN THE RESTAURANT THAT NIGHT.So what was the time issue all about?We then started to notice other issues, such as;-No coffee making facilities,Tea made using normal kettle boiled water,No deserts available,Reasonably stocked bar with limited options available,We only saw the one member of staff, I.e the waiter.Food quality was ,in my opinion average compared to our previous experiences of Indian cuisine.The waiter insisted on cash for payment of the bill, and as the bill was for £94, it was fortunate for the restaurant that I was able to meet with the request.This seems like our booking was an "off the books booking" that I doubt hmrc will see the revenue of?I feel we were treat awfully and was disgusted with the service we received.We will inevitably not return.

We arrived before opening time but were invited in and seated. The service is excellent as is the food. I am sure we will be back.

First time I've eaten here ordered a take away only. Food was hot and nice. Service was good 👍

For me, the best Indian takeaway in Chelmsford, until today...5 out of 5 on customer service5 out of 5 on delivery5 out of 5 on price3 out of 5 on the food (which is a big no no...)I’ve been ordering for the past 3 years from this place and I’ve always been happy. Today it is evident that this brilliant restaurant is under new ownership all the food was bland and lacking flavour. It’s a shame... it’s was my favourite.

Best curry house in the area. Chicken tikka jalfrezi is amazing. Delivery is always prompt and the food is always hot. Would definitely recommend.

Far too spicy hot !Madras supposed to be mild..way too hot couldn't taste the food, even the Bombay potato.Biryani suppose be MILD ..it was so hot, it left my lips burning... Again I couldn't taste it..sorry. they have no idea.

Meal was lovely and staff friendly, but table service was a bit unprofessional. Asked for left overs as takeaway and they packed up actually at our table and then cleared table by stacking plates in my friends place setting and it was not done delicately - amazed she didn't get splashed.
