Bb's Coffee & Muffin in Chelmsford

Lovely food and fabulous coffee but the atmosphere felt frantic and chaotic caused entirely by the staff pushing for a quick choice of food from the customer and calling to one another.

Cheerful staff, helpful and polite. Good service and good choice of snacks. Love the muffins especially. 👍👍☕☕

Very young staff that are willing but just lack the training. My tea was weak and my friends coffee was weak as well. I might try again in the future just to see if the standards have changed.

Sat outside, per CoVid regs. Nice next to river. Cappuccino coffee good but not the warmest when served. Good to see a choice of gluten free muffins now available - tasty, as well. However a black mark in that the gluten free items were displayed on same shelf as wheat based muffins - cross- contamination possible.

Normally love this place, however one member of staff chose to sit smoking infront of an open door (door open in line with covid regs) the whole place stank of cigarette smoke. The member of staff completely oblivious to people coughing inside as a result, when mentioned to another staff member behind the counter, who eventually understood nature of my complaint, the doors were closed (not in line with covid regs)

Good coffee and lovely cakes. Choice includes gluten free, too. Friendly staff always smiles when we go there.Toasted sandwich good, but wouldn't bother adding tiny bit of lettuce! Nice sausage rolls, too

Great little restaurant since it was upgraded. On a summer's day the outside area is perfect for a quick cake stop. The inside is not always the cleanest and the staff should put more measures in place to ensure that the cleanliness is checked often. I have also noticed how the staff always seem stressed and over worked lately. I visited a week ago and they had no gluten free muffins and no-one seemed to know who was responsible for this.Visiting today was slightly disappointing as there were only two options of gluten free which looked quite dry.BB's is the kind of place where some days you visit and it is amazing and you walk away feeling satisfied. Other days they are under staffed and struggling.I do love how they have a transitional menu, my husband had the spiced apple and custard and he said they were so delicious he could have eaten 5!

Lovely quirky little cafe! We had tea coffee and got chocolate, along with a muffin and Danish which were deliciously fresh!Great to have local cafe instead of boring multinational
