Beauvoir Arms in Chelmsford

Visited today and had quite a mixed visit. The restaurant looks nice and has a large garden which is ideal if the weather is good.In regards to the food, personally I enjoyed my selections. However two of the group have dairy intolerances.Surprisingly, they didn't have any vegan options on the menu and, when asked about suitable dishes, there was clear uncertainty.Obviously we should have checked this before going, but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for anyone with intolerances or who is in fact vegan.

Lovely food and friendly waiters. We really enjoyed it and will return if we are in that area.

Specialises in Italian food, some staff were very helpful. My food to ages to arrive, but when it did I enjoyed it. Reasonably priced.

Expensive for the portions and courses chosen. Food has been better previously. Nice surroundings.

Wow what amazing service! We had an event there and the staff could not do enough! I am a bit of a control freak and it takes a lot for someone to think of everything I am thinking and before I did! but I felt completely looked after and in great hands. Ash you are amazing and would definitely come for food again also as was amazing 🤩 thank you

Nice food in the middle of nowhere. I loved their Italian food. Great selection of cocktails and the drinks waiter had a pleasant attitude. Would come again.

Food seemed like it had been pre cooked then warmed had to send starter back as frozen in middle spaghetti over cooked there was a big 18 birthday party in the entrance and side restaurant we was in main restaurant and the music was deafening not idle when you are out for a nice meal been here a few times before lockdown but seems to have changed a lot

One of my favourite restaurant. Always been greeted warmly upon arrival. Lovely welcoming staff and professional. A great choice of food and always delicious. Been going there for good few years now and always looking forward to more xx

Food generally OK. But pricey for what you get. Tiny portion of spinach. Had to ask why there was no crab in the crab, prawn and mussel linguine. It was added. But had to wait. Long wait for bill, had to keep asking, only people there by then. With 2 little ones not easy. Need heat on, room rather chilly. I would go again to give them another chance. Very friendly helpful staff
