China Gardens in Chelmsford

FIRST TIME IN THIS CHINESE, AND I MUST SAY VERY PLEASANT, FRIENDLY SAFF ,FOOD WAS EXCELLENT.

But hit and miss. Orders are sometimes wrong (it depends on who picks up the phone)When we have delivery, it is usually wrong. So we try to collect as much as poss.Curry is sometimes in a clump around the. Chicken, rather than a proper curry sauce.But we go back time and again so can’t be that bad.

Probably the best Chinese food I have ever had! We had friends round last night and they were thoroughly impressed with it too. Everything was cooked to perfection and the taste was just amazing. We only tried it recently after people on FB were recommending it!

Lovely food but took an hour & forty minutes to arrive minus our fortune cookies plus charged delivery. Will be trying a new Chinese next to hopefully get better service.

Don’t Evan bother. This place is disgusting first time Iv ordered and I will never order again. The chips were so cold and undercooked and the chicken balls were actually greasy chicken strips. Special curry was lumpy and tasted vile. I was mostly worried about the undercooked chicken. Honestly one of the worst Chinese Iv ever had 🤢 I will never order from here again!!

Ordered at 5.45pm, was told it will be here in 45 mins. Still waiting and it is now 19.30! Not great. Don't usually have a problem. But we are all hungry as! Maybe dont take on all the orders if you cannot be true to deliver?

Worst chinese I have had. Took 1h 45 minutes to arrive. Special fried rice had 1 prawn and 5 peas in it and curry sauce was congealed, thick and tasteless. Very upset.

The food was cold and dryed out the chips where reheated curry tasted watery and was very bland no heat to it. the rice was good though I wanted it to taste better but it just couldn't deliver on taste

Ordered from just eat for collection, was ready about 10 minutes early. However if you order online they only accept cash payments and won't take cards, not too much of a problem as there is a cash machine round the corner. Staff are friendly and polite. The food was piping hot and good quality. Would order from here again.

Delicious, great quality chinese food and top notch service from ladies in front of house. They also have a delivery service.
