Elachi Fine Indain Cuisine in Chelmsford

Booked a table pretty last minute and were accommodated however the whole experience felt quite rushed and like the staff were keen for us to leave. We didn't order starters either. Food was OK but I have had better. Staff put the heater on towards the end when we said we were fine and the place became rather uncomfortable. Overall its fine for a meal but I can't say it is one I will be visiting again.

Great staff, very friendly. Mixed Starter very good indeed, but disappointed with the main. Chicken was very tough and the flavours were very bland for a jalfrezi.

Delicious food.... Made me a dish that wasn't on the menu... Ist class service... Very comfortable chairs nice atmosphere... Ticks all my boxes... Well recommended 👌

I lived in South Woodham for 20+ years and I have since moved away, but I still struggle to find a local Indian Restaurant that compares to Elachi. The food is very good, and the waiting staff are friendly and attentive.

Excellant service, excellant food and will certainly be coming back. The food was full of flavour with just the right amount of spices , it was well presented and we didnt have too wait long.We will certainly now use them for all take outs aswell as eating out !

Seriously the best curry I have had in a long time ! Restaurant spaced out nicely for covid restrictions. A great choice of menu but not overwhelmingly so…. Seriously tasty!!

Mediocre Indian in a personal opinion. Honestly everything was average. I mean even the balti was not far off a jar you would get at the supermarket... Don't get me wrong staff are very polite and friendly but the food is just slightly under par.. Takeaway including in picture, as for sit down, small restaurant slightly on the dated side. Overall there is a lot better out there.

First visit on Saturday night. Elachi was recommended to us as our usual Indian Restaurant was only doing take aways. What a revelation !Why hadn’t I found out about Ilachi before ?? The food was wonderful, the staff very friendly and the service was efficient but unobtrusive. We shall, without doubt, visit the restaurant, more regularly. Can’t recommend this gem enough.
