Walk in service was quicker than I thought it would be and the staff were really nice too

Had to wait and wait for a small order, just fish and chips. How can you mess that up?

Like many others whose reviews have gone unresponded to, the rather dim counter staff don't seem to be able to work out that a load of people waiting inside, might just be customers who are waiting to pick up prepaid orders. Why they can't call our what the order is, or the reference number instead of putting orders above the fryer on a shelf.Idiocy which can only reflect a lack of training and a zero common sense among the staff.Great food though, but not worth going through the hassle - AND they forgot the drink we'd ordered.

Always consistent and we get a nice portion of fish and chips. My wife particularly likes the senior's portion. Just enough for her.

We had take away. Vegan burger was delicious. Really could not tell the difference in bun or cheese. My sister enjoyed her 1/4 pounder burger too.

I used to think they were the best in town but last time small cod and chips and plaice and chips over £18. The chips were over £2,50 per portion and were dry and a lot of them were black and hard.

The food is always so hot and delicious, I can't rate them highly enough. Fresh ingredients and the BEST burger in Essex. Great friendly staff!

Food was very good,as was the portions. This, besides the location of the takeaway, explains why the price was so high, but worth it. What let the establishment down was the "matter of fact" attitude of the female member of staff who served me and it was obvious to me that I was just another customer. Not the best of impressions, if you ask me.

My family & I ordered from Churchill's this evening, & we would like to say thank you kindly to all your staff, for such a great service. Your delivery driver was very quick, polite & friendly, & so good with the social distancing. The food was cooked to perfection. The chips were soft & fluffy on the inside & golden crispy on the outside. The cheeseburger, & sausage in batter is the best takeaway we've had in a long time,... cooked so well, & delicious. Nice sized portions & perfect temperature too, not like some fancy restaurants who can sometimes be very overpriced & serve up very small portions. Hats off to the chef 🎩, & all your wonderful staff. We'd definitely recommend to others, & order from you again, great quality food. Thank you kindly Churchill's, & especially more so during these uncertain & worrying times. Stay safe everyone 😊
