Five Guys in Chelmsford

Great food as always and great service from the guy at the counter. Really helped us with sound advice and one large fries for 5 of us was more than enough with the burgers and shakes!

I'll very much recommend! Again, location is good for those of us who just pass through. Less than 6mins walk from the train station. I don't know why people don't remember to order the milk shake with peanut!!!!!! So good!

First time eating here, burger made freshly on premises get a choice of 15 toppings, had basic burger with chips and two toppings, tasted great, will be going again, nice staff , place nice and clean.Thank You!

Kind staff but otherwise Five Guys is highly overrated. The meat in the burgers is nothing but grease and fat, and so expensive for what?? Almost 10 pounds for just a burger without even any fries. Even the burgers in McDonalds are beyond better and healthier without the unnecessary grease that people think is "flavour". Not going again thanks.

A burger only, expensive it was not much different than a Big Tasty but more grease and cheese. Too steep for same taste than Big Tasty just more fat

Big massive burger with large portion of fries. Greatly flavoured. Great choice of milkshakes which tastes good. Best comparatively in market but cost is not affordable when with family. Worth trying it atleast once. Thank you so much for the good hospitality and customer service 😊

Now I'm going to be honest I don't get the hype here. I judge an experience by its value and the experience doesn't warrant the price. While it is a step up from main stream burger places the sitting down to eat burgers in a restaurant style is lacking here. The decor is basic and functional rather than styled and cosy I felt like I was eating in a launderette. The burgers are tasty but although choosing your fillings seems like a good idea its actually a bad idea to get customers to design their own burgers-I've come to Five Guys for their burger making expertise but my burger taste was down to me and I forgot things that a basic big mac has in it and so it tasted bland. In short I would rather Five Guys made their own signature burgers rather than me botch my own. That said the chips where tasty and you get plenty of them. Would I come back? I'm not drawn.

Quality of the burger meat is good, and the chips ('fries') is much better than McDonalds, although the product is somewhat different anyway. And the selection of soft drinks is good, although for £3.75 for a bottomless refill, so it should be. However the gluten-free offer is poor - they offer you an allergen list but leave you to figure out what you can have/not have, item by item. This does not include any of the milkshakes either, sadly (why have gluten in a milkshake at all, excepting a 'cookies' or a 'malted' one?). And, furthermore, for a burger you effectively have to ask for a burger wrapped in iceberg lettuce - no sign of any gluten-free bun being offered. Poor, for the cost (a burger, fries and soft drink for two was £34!)

Ok so let's not beat around the bush ..Great flavoursome burgers , beautiful fries cooked in peanut oil with handsome portions..Great drink choice especially the milkshakes they taste so good. It really is the next step up from your average fast food restaurant.. clean place, helpful staff ....But the big negative and the elephant in the room is the PRICE , big money, overpriced for what it is ...If visiting as a family expect to pay , worth it ? Up to the individual
