I am usually served by Josh and he is amazing. He notices that I have a dog so rushes over with a bowl of water, and always has a chat. The team are friendly, the food as you would expect from a major pub chain, and the price reasonable. The team make everyone feel very welcome and it is always a pleasure going there.

Fantastic! Date night with the wife. Chose here as we visited during lockdown and although it was nice the doors had to be open so was really cold!This time however, completely different. The food was amazing (despite there being quite a few items not available on the menu), and our waitress Megan was one of the best we have encountered. Really friendly, professional and attentive. Even stopped to chat for a while.Highly recommend for the food and hope Megan can be your waitress every time you visit.

Very disappointed with our meal poor service my husband ordered a main meal to be told they had no risotto can do new potatoes came up with no scallops but prawns was not even asked,waited ages for our starters then a while for our main course,not once did anyone ask if everything was ok with our meals,I had steak not medium was very tough to eat;all our chips were cold.We have always had nice meals i was very disappointed this evening.

Good English pub food. Nicely decorated clean pub with large outdoor seating area. On the couple of times I’ve visited over the last year, which luckily avoided peak times, the experiences have been fine, with only one occasion where the food took longer than expected. However be aware that, based on comments from others during the visits, the food service can be slow with very long delays at peak times. It seems the kitchen tends to be understaffed, whilst on at least one occasion there were plenty of bar staff. Maybe it was just unfortunate circumstances on the days I visited. Recommend avoiding peak times to be on the safe side. Otherwise food was great, and we were able to get food around 9pm on a Wednesday night when other places had already closed their kitchen. Came here for a family meal and we left impressed! The food and the service were top class. Nancy was our waitress and she was very friendly and easy to talk to.. we asked for some recommendations and she said the special Halibut and it was wonderful! Thank you so much for making our time so good and I can’t wait to come back

I had a meal there on 21st Feb 22 and was served by Hannah. The chicken pate was superb. But I have to comment on Hannah as hostesses don't get complimented that often. Hannah was very polite, respectful and quick. She appeared to be the only one on the floor and considering it was busy she flew around all over the place. We'll done!!

Visit this place several times a year and we have never had any issues The meal for 10 we had in December was excellent. However. Visited 15th Jan for a Special occasion and left disappointed. There was no lunch menu even though it was advertised on the website and the portions had shrank considerably from the other occasions we have visited. It was a huge letdown.

My wife and I had a meal there last night ( 19/12/21) and were served by Ella-may. Fortunately I had phoned a couple of days earlier to inform her of my wife's dietary requirements and we received superb meals for both of us. It is extremely rare to get that on a first visit to any new restaurant and we thank everyone concerned. Tony

Big pub with big car park but still cosy and with a traditional pub atmosphere inside. Give this roadside pub a try, I doubt if you'll be disappointed, especially by the excellent food and friendly service.Myself and three friends dined here after a long and muddy walk and we were all very impressed! Thanks very much!

Went here today for dinner with partner & mum as was her birthday today couldn't ask for a more friendly greeting & the food was outstanding.Plenty off choice for vegetarians as well which is added bonus for me.Pub spotless clean & feel very safe eating there.Value for money & couldn't ask for better food & service.Thank you for lovely meal from your team
