Indian Night in Chelmsford

Exquisite taste in each dishes made, friendliest staff I have come across in a very long time. Service was first class!!

Really great taste but unfortunately on two separate takeaway ( delivery) orders I had a dish missing. I was offered an email address after ordering to email any issues. I sent an email and after 24 hour I didn’t receive a reply. Will probably not order again as I am £10 down.

Just had our first takeaway from here tonight and just wanted to say it was superb. Arrived in 45 minutes, was really hot and the delivery driver was friendly. Food tasted great and gernous sized portions. Will be ordering again!

Don't let the overwhelming menu intimidate you! A few of us got a takeaway, and all of the currys were great.If you get some sides, and you are happy with just a few chunks of meat, (all our chicken currys had quite chunky pieces) you could easily split a curry between two people as there's plenty of sauce. The vegetable biryani most definitely served two! Really tasty and great service. Would order again for sure.

Can not recommend Indian nights enough!! Have been a long standing customer and will never look anywhere else. The service is always outstanding - Rid always goes above and beyond to make sure our order and experience is perfect every time.

I’ve always heard good things about Indian Nights but I was disappointed. The butter chicken tasted nothing like butter chicken it was not buttery at all more like a tikka masala with a bit of coconut in. The saag paneer had one cube of cheese which appeared to be cheddar not paneer, it wasn't a squeaky cheese it had a stronger flavour and didn’t taste right to me on an Indian. For £4 how can you justify one bit of cheese too. Would not order again.

Used to be a decent restaurant pre COVID but last few orders have been terrible. Tonight’s food topped the lot. Was cold, mild, watery, congealed and the whole thing tasted of fish… even the keema naan bread! (There was no fish supposed to be on my order). Also found a large bone in my curry which I don’t mind but wasn’t stated on website so almost took a tooth ou. Honestly, one of the worst currys I’ve ever had in my life, and I’ve had a lot. Gave two stars because the delivery driver was friendly. Won’t be ordering from here anymore, it’s a shame as food used to be really very good.

So I've been coming to this indian for years now and I've ordered a tandoori King prawn mossala. This dish is 13.95 I believe and you get 3 prawns! 3! Now if each prawn is £1 at most, I just paid over £10 for mossala sauce! Just shocking indian night. Im in shock

Booked last year for the divas Motown music night tonight for a friend's birthday meal. Entertainment didn't start till 10.15pm which is far too late to stay for having arrived at 7.30pm and table cleared at 9.45pm (payment wasn't taken till 10.20pm so we heard 2 songs). Disappointing that we saw them setting up at 7.45pm. service was really slow tonight. It was busy but plenty of staff. Were asked 3 times if we wanted poppadoms before any actually arrived. Only given one menu when we asked for one after the poppadoms were delivered. 1 menu between 4 people took a while to get through as it's such an extensive one. Have been told this is an attentive restaurant so was disappointed when it definitely wasn't tonight. Food however was delicious. Can't fault the chef's!

Nice big restaurant and food is always to a good standard. Theres a lot of selection here with starters, mains even down to the dips for your poppadoms (you get 10). They will even make you stuff thats not on the menu as we found out. Have been here many times. You get complimentary mango yoghurt shot to start and a hot brandy to finish usually. Found it to be slightly expensive on the last visit though.
