Really helpful staff. Lovely little cafe too. Conveniently located off the a12. Ample enough carpark spaces.

Good choice of menu and food served nice and hot. Staff friendly and helpful

Staff not very knowledgeable or helpful and considering how much things cost/how much money I was about to spend, they did not treat me very well. I was looking for long brown boots in a 6 and the attendant brought me long black boots in a 5 stating that they had no 6 so 5 is a nice alternative…really? Someone is else jumped in to help and was more helpful but I found the level of service and knowledge abismal….I knew more than the staff and they were not at all interested in listening to what I was looking for. Almost treating me as if I was a blight on their horizon. The same happened when I wanted to try on helmets. Staff were just interested. Made me feel awkward for actually asking for advise. Was also very disappointed with the lack of range in horse boots and show wear.Good coffee though.Left with my bank account intact and headed to another tack store and to shop online. Won’t be back or recommend.

Having a horsey daughter, and not being horsey myself, this place is a lifesaver. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable - insisting on fitting riding hats and body armour before they are sold therefore ensuring the safety of their customers.

Great attentive staff. Lots of choice for clothes and boots. Not overly priced but not cheap either. Nice verity of products. Great parking and access. The cafe looked good too but didn't make it in there on the last trip. Going back soon to buy more great stuff.

I have shopped in Ingatestone saddlery for many years, from when it was a small store in the village before it was as well established as it is today, every weekend I spend around Ā£100 on feed and bedding that is without any equipment/products I purchase whilst browsing, the month of December myself and my partner must have spent the best part of 2k on gifts and also new rugs and equipment for our horses.Today we made our normal Saturday trip to the saddlery to buy horse feed and return a item that was to small, the staff are always friendly and happy to help, I took my return to the counter and the lady advised go and shop and just return to counter and she would deduct return from our shopping price, myself and my partner was browsing the store when we was approached by a man who said ā€œ Can you go out and scrape your boots offā€ your boots are to dirty to come in the shopā€ I was in total shock so myself and my partner started to head towards the exit, I could totally understand if our boots were covered in mud, they had shavings dusting and just general stable dirt from mucking out, this was not it I was horrified how this man had just spoken to us so I stopped and asked the man how i raise a complaint , he said ā€œMe It’s My Shop 😱 having worked and now working for a very large brand in customer services in the motor industry this is most definitely not the way to speak to your customers, I do believe there is a certain way to approach people and manners and politeness costs nothing and maybe if he hadn’t been so rude in he’s approach there would have been a very different outcome, and I pity he’s staff because if he can speak to he’s customers like that then how does he treat he’s staff, I will no longer be shopping in this saddlery after supporting this small business for many years I will shop where my custom is appreciated and respected.

Big selection of every thing to do with horses, full of customers with tons of money but have obviously forgotten how to smile or be nice. The cafe had slow service and over priced charging 3 quid for a herbal tea which was just a cheap tea bag and water. And it's the only cafe I've been in where they need security tags on the condiments.

The cafe is rubbish now. Not going to bother again. Such a shame because one of the bonuses and part of going to Ingatestone was going for lunch and their famous milkshakes. Main tack and saddlery staff still awesome and wonderful amount of stock. Looking forward to someone new taking over the cafe so we can go back to meeting there and eating like we used to.

Only went to the cafe but my god the simple and traditional breakfasts are amazing!!! After 15yrs of being a chef can honestly say one of the best!!! And if you have a horse it looks like they have alot of equipment for them as well as other bits and bobs.
