Middletons Steakhouse & Grill Chelmsford in Chelmsford

Really poor experience from start to finish. Table was booked for 7:30, never received our starters until 8:30pm. After ordering the T bone for main course I was later informed that they never had any and had to choose another steak or dish. When main eventually appeared order of chips, steak knife was missing along with drinks. Ordered dessert only to be told after 15 mins that they had no cheese cake for two members of the party. After that decided to have the bill, skipped the dessert. I certainly won’t be going back.

Lovely service, very friendly.Portions were good, could have done with a couple extra mushrooms with the steak meals.Went with family, and we had the Prime Surf and Turf, Steak Grill, and the Middletons grill. All with some extra sides (which were very nice).Steaks were cooked exactly how we ordered them, Lobster was delicious, Couldn't fault the food honestly, acouple extra onion rings on the Middletons Grill would have been nice too, but overall a really tasty meal and would highly recommend. Will definitely be coming back for more

I would highly recommend the set lunch menu. The minute steak was cooked to perfection and the potato wedges were delicious. All washed down with a couple of marvellously mixed mohitos. I will definitely be visiting again.

I’ve spent a quality time here. The food was excellent and delicious. Love the atmosphere in the restaurant. All staff looked after us so well, and they were very friendly. I'd come again soon on my birthday. Cheers!

Amazing food and lovely staff! We tried their garlic bread, fried calamari & ribs(😋😋) and of course the steak (rib-eye with pepper sauce 😋).. Good options/price for kids menu(we chose garlic bread, chicken wrap (comes with veggies & fries) , brownie with ice cream and fruit shoot) and the kid was happy .. Don't forget to try their sticky toffee pudding (yum😋)! 😊 They charge 10% service charge(says optional on the bill) but we paid as we were glad with their service . We will visit again..

Decent steak at a fair price. Two of us eating mains only, a cocktail each and a decent bottle of wine came in at under £100. The food was tasty and the staff were polite. Adding 10% service charge is never a good idea though and definitely not when it then asks you again at the point of paying if you want to add a further gratuity! Come on, you smiled and took things to my table, let's be reasonable about this....... that said, I'd visit again. A decent restaurant.

Very nice and good value roast. The lamb, thankfully, tasted better than it looked. When I questioned the small chopped scraps I was told 'they always do it like that'. My husband had turkey, a couple of thick lumps/slices but again tasted OK. The veg was nice, plenty of gravy and a big Yorkshire pudding. The prawn and crayfish starter were OK, served with hard sourdough bread, honeycomb cheesecake for dessert a bit tasteless. The wine was good, all in all good value and the staff are very nice.

We haven't been there before with turned up on on the off chance.We was giving a nice table where the music wasn't too loud so you could converse with each other, beer variety was a limited as they only seem to have bottled beer the food was delicious our particular waiter was attentive but not overbearing polite and efficient the pricing structure is what you would expect for this quality.Given the opportunity I would return to this establishment .

Food was lovely, service was good, went during the week when it was a little quieter. There was some confusion as the menu's were different prices to each other and no one was entirely sure which one was correct. Other than that a very enjoyable evening. A little on the pricey side but I would definitely go again.

Fantastic meal. Great service. And how the 3 course meal only costs £16.99 I dont know....Definitely coming back.Message to chef - hold back on the salt a bit .....
