Mr Rams & Mrs Cod in Chelmsford

Half our order was missing. Called to explain and was told they would deliver the other half and the food I already have won’t get cold. 🙄

I had a kebab from here a couple of years ago and said never again . But tonight i fancy a kebab and gave it ago .well i loved it the chips were really chunky the kofte and the dona was great salad was fresh as you could get .well done this resturant you have chenged my mind .the food was also delivered 5 mins early.

Ordered 2 kebabs both arrived without sauce, called up to see why and they said that they would send someone to deliver the sauce. We waited for a hour longer but no one showed up so they lied about sending someone and we had to eat our meals without the sauce that we ordered. Very disappointed because we don't have takeaway very often and was exited to have this tonight. We will not be ordering from here again

My last 2 visits the chips have not been cut right, Not sure if supplier changed but they are way too thick & not as good as they use to be... I'll come back again for 1 last chance.

£2.50 for this. rip off ! place is very dirty inside

After a number of months of boycotting I was advised by a friend that he had a great meal so I gave them another chance. He was right! The chips were back to real chip shop chips. Not thin and dry. The cod was perfectly cooked like the old days. Would have given 5 stars if the chips portion size reverted to the original. Really not what I'd call a large portion at all (table spoon added for comparison).

Been a loyal customer for around 8 years but since one of the partners left things have taken a turn for the worse. Portion sizes have reduced and prices have increased. Even the chip size has reduced in thickness with the majority of the portion being the size of fries with many small dry crisps size pieces. Not what you would call a traditional portion of chips at all. The cod sizes are also smaller and not as well cooked as they used to be. Punters will go elsewhere if not already unless things improve. Bring back the old service and quality!

I just ordered cod and chips, the chips were so dry I think it was yesterday and today’s chips mixed together. All I can say that’s the worst meal I ever had in England. I will never ever order from Mr ram and mrs cod. Please don’t ever order from me ram and mrs cod

Been coming here for a very long time now. Food use to be really good over last couple of months our food has been horrendous. we ordered 2 small chips well one portion wouldn't feed a small child, And the chips where still hard like they had been taken out of the fryer too soon.We called the restaurant to complain only to be meet by rude staff and to be told that we are lying.We have ordered loads in the past never a problem until recently i gather its a new owner and staff as the website has changed aswell. wont be coming back, but by looking at the reviews seems like a lot of people are doing same.Shame on you MR RAM......

Stopped by to get a mixed kebab for a late lunch. The customer service was good, clean restaurant and the portion size for a large could feed two people. I have been going here for a long time as i live a 10 minute walk away. Alway had a good experience with the kebab side of the shop.
