Olio On The Green in Chelmsford

Always meant to go here after hearing many clients rave about it. Small family run restaurant, not a chain. Wow can you tell the difference. The staff are delightful. Funny, interactive with time to chat & give you plenty of info on the dishes. Even if there wasn't something on the menu. Just ask. Super attentive too. But not over bearing. Even down to asking how long till you want your next course. (been in restaurants where it's so quick you don't have time to digest the 1st course) Now to the food. Wow wow wow. Never had food so piping hot before. Tastes were amazing. Pasta cooked to perfection. Al dente. Flavours were spot on. Husband had the Skate. Perfect. Absolutely bang on meal. In a lovely setting with fantastic staff. One of the best meals we have had in a long time. Thank you Olio

The service here is outstanding, the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They ensure to check in on you despite how busy the restaurant gets and the food is an authentic taste of Italy.We will most definitely be back!

Always nice to visit but I do feel that the variety of food on the menu is not what it was when they had just the one restaurant however the food is delicious. Staff are always very professional and the atmosphere is vibrant

My boyfriend and I have just been to Olio on the Green for our anniversary. All the staff were absolutely charming and looked after us so well. All the food was perfect; so fresh and tasty! We booked it as a special occasion in advance and they all made us feel special. A delightful evening. We’ll definitely be going back!

Busy Saturday night and a nice armosphere. Had to wait a time before ordering but after that service was efficient. Food especially the starter was good although portions were a bit too generous.We enjoyed our meal and will go back.

The food is good, and service is impeccable.however it does get really full and very loud. Left early because we could hardly hear each other speak. Busy is good I guess, but just a shame it's so loud. Lunchtime is better.

Perfect Italian restaurant. Great food choices. We had the skate wing that was on the specials and it was delicious. Impeccable service. Trully recommended.

Lovely Atmosphere, and the waiters and the staff were all very friendly and highly attentive.The food and pasta was all very fresh and all home made.Each of the dishes we had were absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend coming to here for a special occasion.The restaurant is very near to the main green in Writtle and a Free Car Park is nearby.I will definitely be eating here again.
