One Green Bottle in Chelmsford

I love this place. The food is tasty and the staff are great. We were here last for just sushi.Personally I find the chicken dishes dry but that doesn't matter because the fish dishes (and even the veg dishes, meat free boo lol) are amazing. You have to try the salmon teriyaki and beef skewers, but only if u enjoy rare meat like me.I like the ordering system, you can order 6 hot dishes and 6 cold dishes at once. However if u are a bigger group they do allow you to double a dish. Don't get carried away, sushi is filling. One moment you'll be thinking about ur next order and the next you'll be wondering if your able to fit in 1 more bite.Edit: since posting review chicken dishes have improved greatly and must be ordered, especially the yakitori chicken skewers.

Lovely place.Great service. The food we ordered was served in around 15 minutes. All fresh. Waiters know their stuff. We got some really nice suggestions there.New Zealand gooseberry flavored white wine was also quite good.They have 50% off when ordering a la carte on some weekdays. Great value. Will definitely go again.Best sushi I have tried in the UK. Not the entire world but still very very good for the UK.The only annoying thing is that we were trying to reach them by phone for 2 days straight intending to book a table but no one picks it up. The place is quite busy so be sure you are at their doors by 6 pm to get a table.

Sushi buffet is great with geneous portion. Would be great if theres more sashimi options (not just salmon)

We absolutely loved our visit here. We ended up spending a small fortune but it was totally worth it. Our waiter (tall guy, long dark hair types back) was very attentive and fabulous! We look forward to trying Korean next!

So good to finally have Korean BBQ in Chelmsford! The food was delicious, really nice marinated meats and friendly staff. Everything was clean and the grills were very good. Nice selection of soju and sake too. There was a small issue with the bill when it came to pay but this was sorted without much of an issue. We'll be back, for the sushi too!

Nice environment to eat. At the bottom in Japanese and Korean at the top. The service is ok but we went on a Tuesday and I got the food first and then the drink. In the middle of the meal they remove the plates but the waitress who touched us that day was quite clueless we had to ask for the orders several times because we waited a long time for a simple dessert or a drink, it gives the feeling that the waiters have little memory and according to you go asking they keep walking. We ordered Korean bbq for two adults it is satisfactory. The first batch they explain if you have never been to a place like this, then you cook the meat yourself. The music is nice and everything was neat and clean. If you order the grill, bring wet wipes that with the oil and the tongs make your hands greasy !!I will be back in the future. Price quality is fine.(Sorry for my English is not my first languague)

Great food and dining experience, we went on a Wednesday, so it was busy. The ambiance is good, seen the tatami room where you can have a private room with your friends/family the portion of the food is good, we tried the bottomless sushi menu and I was great! Would come back again to try their other food

Unfortunately I have been back since and now have to change my review due to the terrible experience. So after having a good meal previously I took my partner and Mum to Sushi One for an early Tuesday night dinner. Despite restaurant being quiet on arrival it was nearly 25 minutes after seating that we had to flag someone down to take a drinks order. First round of food was ordered and came slowly but didn't seem to be a problemWe placed our second round of food and waited patiently for 40 minutes (with no serving staff bothering to check on us, ask if we wanted more drinks etc) whilst watching other tables around us place and get their food within in time. We flagged down a waiter and asked where our food was and got a dismissive "it should be coming". After another 5/10 minutes I went to the bar to found out where our food was to be told that it hadn't even been sent through to the kitchen yet and had only just gone through. This was given with no apology. So after 1.5 hours at the restaurant we had only had one round of food - when apparently the "all you can eat" is only valid for 1 hour 45 min???? We gave up at this point and left the restaurant (we paid for drinks) - the only excuse the waiter could give was that he was the only one who could ring in alcoholic drinks? Not sure how that was relevant to our food not being rung in when we saw other tables order and receive food?? He also tried to claim that the other staff were new when I recognised at least one of them from a previous visitThis was a Tuesday night so not a typically busy evening but the staff did not seem to be able to cope, they did not ask about drinks, they continually left piles of dirty plates and glasses on tables. I also heard the table next to me complain about the wait and another table received a discount due to a poor service/mealSo disappointed as the sushi on the previous visit was actually very tasty (although the service was also a little slow) but we did not get to experience any this time! - the experience was so poor this time and the staff rude and disinterested that I am not very encouraged to try again
