Pizza Express in Chelmsford

Staff were really helpful and polite, this is by far my favourite Pizza Express. Thank you :-)

Lovely service, really nice food. Baby changing area was very clean which you dont see often.

We visited on a Tuesday evening at 6.30pm. As it was the school holidays restaurant was full of families at this time of day.Highlight was the lady who served us who was super helpful. We went here with another couple and it was great we weren’t rushed and spent about 2.5hrs here. We had a couple of starts (garlic dough balls and garlic bread with mozzarella ) and then 3 Pizzas (Margherita Romana, and Diavolo Romana ) and a Niçoise salad. I didn’t realise you can essentially have any flavour pizza topping on any base even if it isn’t listed on the menu.For dessert a couple of us shared a Triple Salted Caramel Cheesecake (which is served with gelato and toasted popcorn).Overall Summary - pizzas were good – toppings were perfect balanced but the base of my Margherita Romana was slightly over-cooked and too crispy/black in a few places. Best thing about Pizza Express is their pizzas and the dessert was ok but not great ie popcorn a bit soggy.

We had a lovely meal and Daniella was our server, she was so helpful and happy. The food was lovely all cooked really well and came out nice and hot! Daniella couldn’t do enough for us and we will definitely be returning!

Mid week, lunchtime visit. The restaurant was quiet so service was quick. Food was superb 👌 I've had several Calzones in Italy over the years and this was up there with them.

My first Pizza turned up with the wrong toppings, so I asked for it to be remade. Then the one that was remade had no cheese, barely any toppings, and was burnt. Ended up eating nothing for dinner and leaving hungry, as couldn’t be bothered to order another pizza again! Manager said sorry, but I think it’s not her fault, it’s pizza express not hiring competent and well paid Chefs.

Ordered 2 pizzas on Friday through Deliveroo.Didn't arrive.Contacted Chelmsford and the lady said there was nothing they could do and told me to contact Deliveroo.Deliveroo said the driver couldn't find us so he didn't deliver. They said they would arrange another delivery which turned up within half an hour but was not what we ordered.I will never use Deliveroo again.In future I will go to Papa Johns for home delivery.

And this is my fifth time visiting PizzaExpress in Chelmsford. I have had a wonderful time and been served by Daniella has gone beyond the call of duty to make sure that we were served well for lunch and on time.

Everything on the menu is spicy pizza base was terrible it was cold and we waited ages for starters and the main which was two pizzas there was hardly any topping on both of them and it was luke warm we will never go to a pizza express again save your money and get a better pizza and go to pizza hut very very disappointing experience...

The new chrtitmas dinner themed pizza was amazing. Nice restaurant with a cozy atmosphere for a big chain. Get a waiter to make payment is the only pain but the phone app means you can pay yourself.
