Rangeela Indian Takeaway in Chelmsford

Top quality Indian food. Dishes all taste fresh and well cooked. They offer a fairly fast delivery service which comes in handy as their location is in a hard to park location. Prices seem very fair too. Never had a bad experience which in my book counts for a lot.Rangeela has recently returned to a 5 out of 5 hygiene status. It was fine as it was and now it can only be better.Just had another first class meal here. Top quality food. The best.

It's terrible the chicken I ordered its not even cooked properly, salad they put with food it's in the plastic bag , unbelievable. I try to get in touch with restaurant but person on the phone was really rude. Didn't even apologise. Stay away from this restaurant.

Lovely food. We had delivery, we’ve had it twice now and the food comes hot and is yummy. We ordered tandoori chicken, pasanda, lamb tikka, rice and tikka nan. Honestly one of the most reliable takeaways in Chelmsford-we’ve had bad experience with so many others-But I always know Rangeela will be 10/10!!

Indian cuisine. Special Mixed Biriyani and House Special Curry was the order. First time experience with awesone. Comparatively better than the others in town as we have tried a couple of them. Biriyani comes with vegetable curry (presuming it comes free with biriyani as it was there in the package and we didn't order it) and the delicious mixed curry. We tooked the mixed combo of both as it says cooked with chicken, lamb and prawn (but had to dig in both to find the prawns as we hardly found a few🤭😜). But taste-wise good, presentation was good, temperature and freshness was satisfying. Had it delivered on time as said. Happy to recommend and will see u soon again. Keep up the quality👍

Very disapointed with my experience. Waited just under 2 hours for it to arrive. Appreciated the delivery driver he was very polite and apologised for the delay.Unfortunately every piece of my Lamb was very tough and chewy. And my wife's prawn curry was chicken instead. Bombay potatoes just tasted watery with no flavour, as was the curry. Very disapointed, we haven't tried this place before, and don't think will be going back.

I am really disgusted with their service and food. They have mentioned on the “Uber Eats” that the food is Halal but the leaflets, which came with the food, did not mention anywhere on it that they sell Halal food. That made me a little suspicions so I checked their website and there wasn’t any Halal sign anywhere on their site either. So, we called them but the person on the other side of the phone was extremely rude and when we enquire his name his answer was “it is not polite to ask name in this country”?? and dropped the call. I called them again and a different person answered, I explained the issue that I just wanted to confirm whether the food is really Halal. His answer was yes the food is halal. However, I told them that their leaflet does not say the food is halal, his answer was “but our website says that we sell Halal food” which was not true since I had read all of their site, I told him the website does not say it (until this point the conversation was normal) but then suddenly his tone got louder and asked me where am I originally from. The question was unexpected but I answered him that I am from Pakistan. He got really agitated and start shouting and literally start using vulgar language after saying ‘you are pissing me off…’I had to end the call because I was on a speaker and my child was in the room listening to us. I was speechless! I had to get the dinner from somewhere else because we eat only Halal food.I would suggest never order the food from aggressive, liar and temperamental people.

The chicken tika masala i ordered felt like sugar syrup coconut abomination and you would actually have to be delirious to think this is chicken tika. I wonder what was going on in the chefs head. Absolutely disappointed with what i received.

Would give 0 if possible. Collected my order and when we got home two things had been missed off of it. When I rang up and questioned them I was told I couldn't have any refund and that there was no delivery driver available to bring my order to me. I was shouted at down the phone and told my only option was to collect the food myself or wait half an hour and they'd 'give me something extra' to make up for it - adamantly refused any kind of refund. Had to drive back to the restaurant to pick up my food. Would never order from here again!

Raw, oily and refusing refund £45.89. The whole order is uneaten as it is not fit for consumption. Refusing refund and putting the telephone down.Raw food not a one off!!
