Robinsons takeaway in Chelmsford

Ordered a burger, ribs and chips for the OH and I had pie and chips. We decided to order via the web site rather than Just Eat. Estimated time was 60 mins. It actually came within 40 mins (which was great, as we were hungry) Overall we were very impressed. Food was nicely warm when it came. All cooked well, my OH loved his burger. Would highly recommend. Thank you 🙏

Fantastic fish and chips, bit slow but worth the wait

I just moved here recently. Being from the black country I couldn't find a chippy that could even compare until I had Robinsons. Tastes like home to me man!

I go there quite a lot,staff are always happy and polite,and the the food is really good.

Brought up in the east end.. Somehow they seem to get the old newspaper feel with the fish and chips. You will know what I mean 🤟 Also you've never ever had a curry sauce like this in your life..... Prompt delivery. Friendly staff...pop by for a milkshake in store. Again.. proper proper puks 🤟🤟 rock on Robinson's 👍👍

There is a sign outside that says "vegetarian specials" but I was informed by a member of staff that none of it, including the chips are actually vegetarian as everything is cooked in beef dripping. I appreciate being told this, but it is incredibly misleading to call anything vegetarian when it isn't.

Usually brilliant but not on last friday waited very long time about 8 people put there orders in and were served before ours was ready then wanted 1 small cod chips but was tiny and 2 med haddock but got 2 small each not good chips either and 1 small cod chips £7.45 very tiny

Rediscovered this fish and chip shop after many years of not living in the right areas of Chelmsford. As a lad and young man robinsons used to be on my walk home or nearby for all fish and chip needs. Now rediscovered during lockdown we as a family have had amazing hot, fresh and frozen food from them with great service and customer communication, especially when ordered is going to be slightly late. My kids love the food and so do we. We've also ordered frozen food for bbqs and meals... such as ribs, burgers, bacon(amazing) and other products.....Try them out and see what you think. Robinsons is part of Chelmsfords history and long may it continue.Photo is of Animal burger.... cheeseburger with sausage, bacon, hash brown, onion ring and burger sauce.... mmmmmm.

Firstly. I must say the chips are absolutely delicious!I ordered a medium haddock, it was the thinnest pice of fish I’ve ever seen, cooked to a mush. The batter was soggy and greasy.Thank you for your response.I ordered my meal last night-25 may approx time 18.45. I ordered medium haddock, small chips and a gherkin.
