Royal Tiger in Chelmsford

Very disappointed with the prices of the food in comparison to the quality. We had payed for a full table of buffet and yet we were not allowed to take any home. The drinks were certainly not up to the standard the prices showed. However, the staff were lovely the entire night and extremely polite.

A huge disappointment-recommended by a friend. Went on Saturday night. First off the place was freezing and we were not near the door. My partner had to put her scarf on during the meal (noticed mini heater as we left!! Very quick service when we sat down but went downhill after that!!! Had ours starters and had to wait approx 30 mins to get our plates cleared and then wait another 20 minutes for our Mains. We had Shaslik and Chicken Buna with Pilau & coconut rice with a Naan. The Buna was tasteless at best. The shaslik had very fatty chicken. The Naan never arrived. Had to chase the waiter and we had our mains half eaten when it arrived. The coconut rice was Pilau rice with a glob of coconut cream on top!! Not like any other coconut rice we had previously. Asked for the bill as soon as the mains were finished. Had to ask 2 more times to get the bill.Don't think we will be going back in a hurry

Extremely disappointing. Worst Pad Thai I have ever been given, whoever cooked it should be ashamed. I didn’t eat more than a few mouthfuls and the waiters didn’t even care to ask why.Service was quite odd, I arrived as only person in the restaurant for lunch on a Sunday. I was on a call so I said I’d wave someone down when I’d settled in. I asked one of the servers 3 times to come back to me and they are were almost rude in the way this was received.I’ve been eyeing off this place for ages as a local in Woodham but it was just disgusting, if they can’t get something as simple and iconic as the pad Thai right then I would have little hope for the rest of the menu.Two stars because they allowed me to use their Wi-Fi for the zoom call.

Lovely food and friendly staff. The restaurant was packed but they catered for everyone quickly and efficiently.

Fantastic restaurant with great service always , the most relaxing atmosphere with lots on offer, I have been a frequent customer for almost ten years now and this is because of the great hospitality I receive each and every time

Very expensive for what it is. food portions were relatively small and inconsistent. Way too busy so much so that the waiters just didn't keep up with orders. We asked for more lime pickle as we were given a tiny amount of it between 6 of us and I mean no even enought for half a poppadom and never even got that. Someone had the duck starter and was given 3 tiny cubes of duck it was embarrassing. Food did taste juice though.

My first visit to Royal Tiger was unexpected. Had to change venue at short notice and my son and I were really delighted we chose this restaurant. We both had excellent meals and the service was impeccable. We done Royal Tiger you really impressed us both.

Won't be going back or recomming. Staff weren't great food was ok. We wanted to use meerkat meals and wanted to try the restaurant out, we had prebooked and in the notes said we was using meerkat meals no one called to warn us this was stopped 3 months ago but still showing on the app. They sat us down and asked if we wanted poppadoms and dipps bring out Thai and Indian charging £2 each for both (£4 x 4 £16 before even ordering drinks we didn't know we was getting charged for this until I complained and he said he would charge £4 not £16, so check this out incase you get charged loads too they don't asked how many of you want it just bring for 4 people, 2 of us don't eat them. On top of that £2.75 for a can of coke, for 4 of us before we had even started to order food it was already £27) They said they will take some money off the bill as its was a misunderstanding from meerkat meals, all the took off was there service charge added to your bill already that was £125.00 for 4 people. So I complained about this again and they took off £10 off a £110 for 4 people. Save your money and go elsewhere. I love food and most places i always check reviews before going out and this wasn't anything like the review I read really disappointed with the whole experience.

Thai food was great. Indian food is another level. Presentation really great. Taste wow! Very well balanced spiced. Service with a smile Great place for group parties.
